Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Not all wrist pain is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. A thorough examination needs to be performed to determine if your problem is coming from a pinched nerve in your neck radiating pain to your wrist, or if there is a nerve entrapment in your wrist. If your wrist pain is coming from spinal misalignment, than a chiropractic adjustment focusing on relieving pressure on your nerves is what's needed. If your symptoms are the result of pressure at the carpal tunnel in your wrist, then a chiropractic adjustment of your wrist may be in order.

Radiology
In addition to fulfilling the rigorous radiology requirements that all doctors must complete, Dr. Berglund also completed an additional 100 hour course of radiology study in spinal and skeletal disorders beyond his required course of study in school. After a thorough examination, Dr. Berglund will determine whether an x-ray is recommended or not. Not everyone will require an x-ray, and a minimal amount of views will be taken for those who do.

Sciatica
The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the body and travels from the low back, through the buttock and hip area, down the leg to the bottom of your foot. The term sciatica refers to pain (which may be accompanied by numbness or tingling) that radiates down this nerve. Sciatic pain can vary from mild to severe, from dull to sharp to burning, and is often aggravated by sitting, coughing or sneezing.
Whiplash
Whiplash usually occurs when the head and neck are unexpectedly or suddenly thrown very quickly in one direction and then rebound in the opposite direction. You might say the head is â€œwhippedâ€ forward and backwards. In an automobile rear-end injury the first thing that occurs is the body is thrown forwards but the head is thrown backwards and the neck is hyperextended. A whiplash can also result from the sudden stopping of a car where the body remains fairly in place but the head and neck are thrown forwards into hyperflexion.
