I started going to Kaz because they're the closest to my house. I feel pretty confident so far with the quality of work they do, despite the reviews to the contrary here and elsewhere. However, they need to work on both their speed and the estimated times they give. I took a day off to get a bunch of errands done and called Kaz to find out the current wait time for an oil change. They said 30-45 minutes. I wound up being there an hour before they even took my car into the garage. I was then told it would only be another 15 minutes, which turned into 40. I had to cancel an appointment and missed out on some plans. This was the third such experience I've had here. I understand they're often busy (though judging by the waiting room, maybe not), but don't give your customers unrealistic wait times! That only results in annoyed and unhappy customers. If they'd told me 1.5 to 2 hours at the outset, I'd have made plans to drop my car off and get a ride. I am very tired of having long waits and promises of "just another 15 minutes." They knew I was annoyed and, at the very least, they could have given me a coupon toward the service price. I think I'll try someplace else next time. My free time is valuable to me and an hour and 45 minutes for a simple oil change on a weekday morning is excessive.
I am a Prius owner and have never had a problem with the car since I bought it. 182K miles and only a water pump and one set of brakes since I bought it new. Last week, I had the kiss of death for a Prius owner. The main drive battery had died. I went to Rosner Toyota who analyzed the problem in about 15 minutes. (Cost me $118 for them to tell me that my battery was dead) They quoted me a replacement price of $4,200 which included six hours labor. I went to Del's and for the same service received a quote of $2,300 which included three hours labor. Not sure why the dealership is doubling the labor hours, but it just left a bad taste in my mouth. I dropped my car off at Del's on Friday, and one of the folks there drove me back to my home. I picked the car up the following week and the rest is history. Everything works perfectly and I expect to get at least another 180K miles out of this battery. Thank you again Del!
Mr. Porsche2 needs to check who he is writing a review about. I have worked for Progressive Automotive and Tire for almost 15 years now and I personally will admit and take care of any damage that I have done to anyone's vehicle. I take extreme pride in my work and strive to never do any harm to customers vehicles. Our location at 60 Doc Stone Road is located off of Garrisonville Road next to a Giant grocery store, Century 21 realtor, Goodwill donation center, and other stores like Enterprise Rentacar, but we are not located next to a body shop. I believe Mr. Porsche2 is referring to another location and needs to consider changing his review. Thank you.
Jeff is a stand up guy. We contacted him via email when we located the car we were interested in. He responded promptly and answered all of our questions. We went to meet Jeff and view the car. The car was clean and free of dents or scratches as advertised. We received a friendly greeting upon arrival and he was not the usual pushy salesman. He allowed us to test drive the car and once we returned he simply asked if the car met our satisfaction. We pointed out a few items of concern and he simply stated that he would have it corrected. We were totally impressed with his service and we will definitely purchase from Jeff again!
I go to Progressive Automotive all the time, have been for years. I have five vehicles that they take care of. Billy is a straight shooter. He works hard and has done a number of minor repairs at no charge. I have been living in Stafford for 17 years and I highly recommend Progressive Automotive on Doc Stone Road. As to the person with the Porsche who is complianing, to my knowledge there is no, nor has there ever been, a body shop near the Progressive Automotive on Doc Stone Road. I think they are confusing places. If you are going to complain, at least get the right place. Go see Billy you won't be sorry. - Al Tierney
That this was a great place and very helpful the experience was very honest which unfortunately has become taboo for other car dealerships. I was given a CarFax for my car as well as dealt with a salesperson that was very familiar and well informed with the car. I was surprised to the honesty given to me when making decisions regarding finance, especially since they were able to advise me to go through my local credit union which saved me about $50 a month. Good group of guys that made the process as streamlined as buying a car can get. I will be sure to check from them my next go around in buying a car.
I left my 2001 Honda with Dels for a 105,000 mile regular maintanance and was quoted at $2,200. I said no way. Then I called a Honda dealership and was quoted $1,150 (so I took my car to the Honda dealership instead). Dels told me based on their inspection I would need $500 worth of valve adjustment. The Honda dealer told me I needed no valve adjustment. Dels rotated my tires (without my permission, and charged me). The Honda dealer told me the tires were put on in the wrong position (most worn tires in front) and had to rotate them again to avoid excessive wear.
I have been taking my vehicles to Dels for more than thirty years. They are the best automobile service in Stafford (and probably in Virginia). Their work is complete and comprehensive and they take the time to explain what is needed and why. Take it from an old retired aviator and long-time "car nut"…, if you are looking for honest and reliable independent automobile service in Stafford, look no further. Don’t waste your time and money at the Dealer’s garage; Dels is the place for superior service for your vehicle at reasonable prices.
I've been to Dels almost everytime my car has had problems. It does seem that they do over price things a tad but the work they do is good and the customer service is amazing. They are always very kind and willing to work with you and show you the problems with your car. Everytime I go they tell me everything that needs to be done on my car and then tell me which is a neccessity and which will be soon. I would suggest this place to anyone.Compared to the other places in stafford, Dels has the best customer service.
Was looking for a second vehicle as a commuter. Did some research found a vehicle online. Emailed these guys they were very quick and responded pretty quickly. Set up an appointment test drove the vehicle. Everything went well on the test drive. Signed paper work and drove off. They did all of my DMV paper work also. Great experience was hesitant to buy from a used car dealership, but these guys were very honest and their vehicle are pretty good. Thanks Shaw and Carstar for everything.
