Imagine this....New Years Day....lots of tourists abound. Wanting to go to breakfast, our first thought was Sea Horse, however, driving by we see about 30 folks waiting for a table. So our second thought was the Hurricane....good food at a cheap price. We go to the hostess stand and wait behind another couple. And wait, and wait, and wait. There's no hostess and no one even looks over to our hungry faces. Finally the couple ahead of us, along with three folks behind us, walk away. I go inside, in search of someone....anyone that can seat us. There's empty tables abound and three servers....where's a hostess? When I come back out, I've discovered there's someone that can finally seat us....YEAH! Our server was Nicholas, top notch. We just wanted fed and ordered quickly to get it in before the 11:00 curfew for breakfast. I don't understand....folks are willing to wait 40 minutes for the Sea Horse....does that tell you all anything? Clean up your act...figuratively and literally. Smile, be friendly, seat your patrons, give them something to drink and eat..we don't ask for much. Do yourselves a favor and actually read your reviews on this site....not very appetizing. If you care at all you'd do something to fix these complaints. Or not, and just be a memory on pass a grille. We're locals and want to support local businesses, but you're making it really hard. Good lord, people...you have only one star out of four.

Provided by SuperpagesTHE #1 SEAFOOD RESTAURANT IN ST. PETE BEACH; HURRICANE is a bit of heaven! Great place for: a special occasion, a beach day, or casual dinner with friends and family. Food presentation and quality were unbelievable, service was even better! Very welcoming and warm staff; very casual dining. Happy Hour prices are amazing! Do yourself a favor.... GO!

Casual atmosphere (beach bathers welcome!) makes this a fun a relaxing place to wind down for dinner. Check out a sunset from the 3rd floor (rooftop) tiki bar, then enjoy dinner outside on the deck or inside.
Best Calamari planks around, fun serving staff, and great food. I've been driving over from Orlando for years and will continue to do so just for The Hurricane.

Great Grouper Sandwiches! Also love to go to the rooftop to watch the sunset. You should definetly go if you are in the area.

Provided by SuperpagesSunday buffet brunch was a disappointment. The price was good, the service was, too. The food we did have was also ok - they made a nice omelet, for example. But, many of the food items were depleted when we arrived, and weren't replenished the entire hour and a half we were there. We did ask about this, and the buffet was being refilled as we left. But, in our experience - if you have a buffet, you also staff it appropriately with someone who keeps an eye on the food. This is a restaurant basic. If they don't do this much ... what kind of a restaurant are they, really?
