I do like Gordman's. I have only shopped in the Springfield, MO store. I use to buy a lot of clothing there, but it seems their juniors' section has gotten trashier in the last several yeart. I am talking shirts with no material. I do still check out the misses career type clothing and occasionally find something. I use to buy shoes regularly, but now it seems like their prices are just the same as any other store. I do like that they carry the Kathy Van Zeeland purse line. Those purses are cheaper than Macy's or department stores. I also like the home and picture section. I have purchased several large pictures for my home. They also have some beautiful "iron work" art pieces for the home. I do enjoy the home section (ie candles, flower arrangements, baskets, lamps, etc). They do carry unique items that are not in every other store you shop. The only thing I would truly fault Gordon's on is the return policy. I have returned a couple of things there in the past ten years. That's not a lot considering I am a long time customer. The last time I tried to return something, I did have the receipt. The clerk was very irritable with the customers ahead of me and then acted like taking my item back was a huge hassle. My mom also had some issues returning some clothing. I just have a bad impression of the return policy. If I am not completely sure about an item, I just don't buy it.
To say that I "frequent" The Dancing Mule is a bit of an understatement. The owners and the baristas are very friendly and always there to make your day better! Drew, the newest addition to the team, makes the most amazing quiche - and has even come up with a few nut free, vegetarian friendly breakfast items that will please even the most particular of palettes! When a new feature brew is added, the staff is always knowledgeable and they even go so far as to compare it to others that have been my favorites in the past. I go there for business meetings with clients, vendors, new hire training and even interviews. It provides a great atmosphere for business, or even just an afternoon coffee when you have a few minutes to spare. The drive-thru makes it super convenient when you're in a hurry as well. It is MY "cheers" of the coffee world. I give Randy and his staff 5-stars for being stubborn about GREAT coffee!
A few days ago I had a great breakfast at Tubby's. The Lumberjack breakfast filled me up and it sure was tasty!!! Fried eggs over medium cooked to perfection. There was no problem substituting biscuits and gravy for the ham slab. I like ham but I was in the mood for biscuits and gravy. The pancakes were BIG and tasty as was everything I ate. I have only had one meal at this place with its new ownership. I believe the new owners have done a fine job of renewing the old. I will be returning in the future. I will likely order a smaller breakfast offering since I was just too stuffed with that Lumberjack breakfast!!!! I must admit I am getting older and unable to eat as much as in the past.
Full disclosure, I am a huge Ruby Tuesday fan. I have dined at Ruby Tuesday Restaurants all over the country. Unfortunately, my last home was no where around a Ruby Tuesday. I am currently staying in Springfield and the N. Glenstone RT is close to my mother's home. I frequently go to RT for a late lunch. The price, entrees, salad bar and service is great. It is a casual restaurant and there is no feeling of needing to dress up or any crap like that. You can just go in, enjoy a meal and your party's company. Nice, casual place to dine by yourself, friends, or family.
Everyone is so friendly, my husband and I have eaten pulled pork, cheeseburger, ribs, homemade french fries and the homemade pies are to die for!!!! We have always been very pleased with the yummy, mouth watering great food, the wonderful service and the extreme cleanliness of this down home laid back atmosphere! We tell all our friends and we will keep coming back to eat more yummy goodness from there great menu of items! God bless the owners of this establishment!
I'll be back! Wilson's Chuck wagon is very friendly place with good service, tasty food and reasonable prices. What more can you ask for? My hamburgers are ready in 10 minutes. I also love the hickory smoked brisket and sometimes have the sauce on the side. A little BBQ sauce is good with the fries. The potato salad and slaw I especially like. The baked beans are also good. Fact is everything I have tried is tasty.
Studio 417 salon is the perfect mix of classic and modern! Whether you are wanting a trendy, new bold cut or just looking for a stylist to give you the ideal trim, you won't be disappointed in the quality of service offered at Studio 417. I have loved every service I've had done there (cut, color, style, brow shaping and waxing) and I look forward to every appointment! Thanks for the great experience, Studio!
This place popped up in Springfield after being located in Republic for years, and has exploded! The burgers are easily the best in town since the days of Burr's, and there are 30 to choose from. The other dishes are excellent and there are numerous choices. My only complaint is that the service sucks everytime I visit. Otherwise, one of our favorite places.
Milk.Honey is classy and unique! It offers numerous hair services provided by the best stylists not only in Springfield, but I would say the state. It competes with the talent you would find in larger cities! The service and personalities provide a comfortable, relaxing experience. Monica and Cassie thank you for offering such an outstanding Salon!!!!
