About a month ago, my car broke down. In the mean time, it has been with 4 different mechanics. One replaced my starter, another replaced my fuel pump, I paid labor and diagnostic fees. Almost 500 dollars put into my car, and it still wouldn't start. I took it to the dealership and they charged me $125.00, to tell me it was my computer module and that it would cost me $2,400.00 to repair. Someone told me to try Ricks Automotive. These guys Are Amazing! They worked hard on my car and on saving me money. They were able to fix my car for under a thousand dollars. I would of been able to save another 500 if I had taken it to them in the first place. Thank You Rick's Automotive for all of your hard work, you guys Rock!
I took my Jeep in for an oil change and tire rotation at Rick's. I found out just before my appointment that I needed to be across town for a meeting 45 min after my appointment was scheduled. When I checked in for my appointment, I told this to the gentleman at the front desk and he immediately went to check with the mechanics to see how quickly they could get the work done. They said they could do it so they immediately got to work. Thirty minutes later my oil was changed, tires rotated and an inspection was conducted.
When they explained to me what they found on the inspection, they spoke to me professionally and treated me with respect, not talking down to me. They alerted me to a few issues and gave me an idea of the urgency level of each issue without being alarmist or pushing me to make an appointment to get the issues fixed on the spot. I would recommend them for quick, professional service.
WOW, That's all I can say. From the customer service when my wife and I first walked in the door. To the waiting area and shuttle service, we were completely satisfied with Rick's. They kept us informed of our needs, finished our vehicle the same day, and picked us up. We totally trust Rick's Automotive with any of our car repairs.
This shop came highly recommended from friends who have students at MSU. It's such a relief to know there's an honest business in town that can help my son out when he's 3 hours from home. Their prices were in line with quality service with quality parts. I checked several places before I had my son's car worked on. They weren't the highest or the lowest price. And they stand behind their work.
To the above reviewer.
Did you shop around and see if this is an average price? They can't help that it is an older car. Prices and labor are irrevelant to what you paid for the vehicle. Perhaps you should put the money into a newer one that will have less problems.
I have no idea the value of Ricks but read the review and felt that it was unfair. Honestly it should be removed.
We called these folks needing a valve job on a 1996 2.5 liter six cylinder Chrysler Sebring LX. They told us that the ball park estimate would be $1800. That is 2/3 of what I paid for the car last year. They told us that the only way they would know for sure is if we brought it in. They were very rude over the phone, not anything like what they are in the commercials. I am a college student at MSU with a very tight budget. I am glad I did not use these guys. Use at your own risk!!!
