Springfield Boys & Girls Club offers various programs that promote the social, educational, health, leadership and character development of youths. Its after-school day care program serves children in the age group of 5 to 13 years and offers various academic and recreational services, including tutoring and arts and crafts. The club also offers programs related to basketball, hockey, soccer, karate, football, volleyball, tennis and track. Its arts program enables youths to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of performing arts and creative writing. Located in Springfield, Mass., the club also operates a computer laboratory that has digital photography equipment and entertainment and educational software. Additionally, Springfield Boys & Girls Club operates programs on substance and physical abuse prevention.
