Xavier is a five year old boy who allegedly was systematically and repeatedly abused by faculty at Turnbow Elementary School for 13 months from November of 2013 to December of 2014. The school told his mother that the abuse was justified because he was violent and aggressive.Since no one besides school personnel was seeing this behavior, his mother asked them to record video when it occurred. No such video has ever been presented. His mother didn't want to believe that the school was engaging in ongoing child abuse, so she arranged for Xavier to be evaluated for behavior disorders, ADHD and autism. All the results came back negative. Xavier was described as a normal child, bright and alert. Finally, on December 8th, 2014, her worst fears were realized - Xavier came home with bruising. At first, the principal, Mrs. Stacey Ferguson, told Xavier's mom that no one had touched her child. She recorded this conversation. Later, she was given a report stating that the teacher did grab him, but it was "for his own safety".Xavier was immediately withdrawn from school, and a written complaint was filed with Dr. Jim Rollins (Superintendant of the Springdale AR School District), the Springdale AR Police Department, and the Washington County AR Department of Human Services. The complaint was also phoned in to the Arkansas child abuse hotline. Best Preschool in NWA! The teachers, staff and management are wonderful! If you are looking for a place for your child to attend, you can be confide…
I have worked for this company for 6 years and I will say that the owners and managers are the nicest people I have ever worked with. They go out of their way to help employees and parents in ways you would not expect. I cannot stress the benefit working for this company has been. My children have all attended since birth. Both of my older children are now in school and are both in the Gifted and Talented program, we have never had a single complaint about a child not being ready to enter school when they leave here. Our parents and employees feel like extended family here and that is the way we like to keep it. I would however like to address some of the previous reviews as someone who knows the details of what goes on in our centers. Mike is a very professional manager. He is stern but not rude. He likes the rules to be clear and to be followed which is what I would expect from a manager in any job. This job involves the safety and well being of children and so he is not lax in any form and has no tolerance for inadequate performance from staff. He is not mean or rude he simply expects us to perform as close to perfect as possible for the sake of the children that are left daily in our care and as someone with children attending this facility I appreciate knowing that the staff is held to high standards, on the other side of that, as a staff member, I do not find his expectations to be difficult to live up to if you are truly dedicated to working with children. The room behind his office that you can see into is L shaped. You can only see about a fourth of the classroom through that window and so not seeing a teacher in the window does not mean there is not one present. Mike also has a monitor on the wall across from his desk with a live feed to cameras in ALL classrooms. There is absolutely no way there was no teacher unless there were also no children in there as well. The issue with not getting a tour immediately is simple, we prefer to schedule tours in advance to make sure someone is available to walk you through. That is just policy. I also wanted to say something about the issue with snack in the room. The children at the center eat lunch in a dining room apart from their classroom. Snack is served in room to save the teacher the hastle of re lining up their children after nap and getting them back in the dining room. I am sure Mike was simply telling you that if you failed to clean up after snack properly snack would no longer be served in the classroom and you would have to take your children to the dining room for snack so the kitchen manager could make sure it was cleaned properly. No one wants to attract bugs into a center with children because food is not being put away and cleaned up. Mike would not punish a child by taking away their snack because the adult did not do their job. I have a huge heart for this center because I have seen the staff do SO MUCH good in the lives of our parents and it saddens me to see that there is negative words being spoken about such selfless people. I would not take my children anywhere else. There is not another center I would work for ( and I HAVE worked for many before coming here) .
This would not be the place I would ever take my kids or worrse work there. One of my friends told me about it because at the time I was looking for a new job. She know someone that worked there and so I got an app and got the job. When I talked to the mang. MIKE, he said yes you are hired well then he showed me to the rooms. Not just is it durty but its stinks. He told me that I would be working from 8 to 5 because I have children so he said it was ok and that it would not be a problem. I went back to check everything out because I needed a job. Well he did not just lie about one thing but he told me that I would have to work later hours and maybe nights. Then he told me that I would not be working with another teacher then he said I would be. He wont show you around the hole building its only where he wants to show you. We where there talking and he said in the after noon they will need snack and they he said if he finds bugs then he will have to stop the snack in the room. WHAT ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I am a clean person and so I decided right then and there that I was not going to take the job and found a better one. I would never tell any of my friends to go there. Mike is not just sorta rude he is rude and not the kind of person I would want to work for. And this is spost to be better beggings. I use to work at a place that was better beggings and they where a LOT cleaner and nicer then Kreative Kids. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS OR WORK AT THIS PLACE.
Very rude office Manager. I have never met someone as rude as this guy named Mike. First clue about this day care was the fact he would not let me tour the building right then and there. Was he hiding something. Also in one classroom that i could see thru the window in his office that there was not even a teacher this is the room behind the office with blue paint. I will give them this they have great hours but poor everything else. I think my dog would provide better care than that center. It also seemed dirty and smelled funny. I will never take my kid there i don't think i will ever go back.
