Took my 13 year old dog who was in pain to VCA as an emergency clinic, which was open on a weekend. My regular vet was out of town. From the office staff to the doctor, we were treated very well. I found their costs to be reasonable. All treatment was thoroughly explained and I now have a much happier dog and my mind is at ease. I could not be happier.
I took my puppy in to VCA, the women at the front desk were friendly, the vet assistant took the time to answer any questions and the vet was pleasant and informative ... the service was fine, but the prices as I have since found out are outrageous, it was almost $600 for the puppy shots which is twice (at 1 clinic 3 times) the cost at the other area clinics (I called several vet clinics in the area). To spay a 18 pound dog $375 approx., I am having my puppy spayed at a clinic about 2 miles further away and it is costing me $156 and they also give fluids during surgury as all vets do. I understand that I should have made the calls BEFORE I took her in the first time and the money I spent was on my best 4 legged friend so it was still well spent but think of the doggie treats she could have had with the $300 I could have saved on just the puppy shots if I had just made a couple of calls.
