Stay away from this rip off company. They charged me over $500 to rebuild a toilet I have in my home and the total parts at Lowe's is $9.30. They completed everything is less than an hour. Unbelievable trying to take advantage of senior citizens like this. I had the exact same work done on the exact toilet set up in another bathroom about two weeks later and that company charged me $278 to the exact (i mean EXACT) same work. They rebuilt this toilet and did it in about the same amount of time. I sent feedback to Franks website and guess who called back. Of course, nobody. For a company that has a motto of "Our Golden Rule is value", I would think that my need some revamping unless GOLD is the key word for themselves. Such a shame in these crazy days and times, that there are really companies out there trying to take advantage of consumers like myself.
I read the reviews on this company and since they were close to our house and seemed reputable, I would give them a shot. What a JOKE! Our hot water heater wouldnt stay lit so the tech walked out to the water heater and said "well, did you call the company on the water heater?" I looked at him and said "no, do I have to use them?" and he said "no". What a strange question since I was the one who called him in the first place. So then the guy hits the start button and says "well, it lit so if it doesnt stay lit you will have to buy a new one". (it went out 10 minutes later which is the REASON I CALLED) So then he charges us $112...WHAT??? The trip charge is $48.50 but charges us $60 to hit the Start button. WOW..thats unacceptable. So, I called TWICE and finally got the "Service Manager" (HA) on the phone who is not very nice and says "well thats what we charge to start your water heater". I argued with him saying "you charge SIXTY dollars to hit ONE button?!" He finally agreed to give me a refund on the $60. Its just a shame that I try to use a local company and get screwed. Unbelievable and has taught me a good lesson.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am sending this email to give you feedback on a service call.
Today I woke up to a water/plumbing issue that has been causing problems, money and stress for too long. Something had to give.
I have had other companies out in the last 3 months. The problems were not properly diagnosed and I received ridiculous estimates, one of which included digging up the sprinkler system of my next door neighbors' yard.
I didn't call you first, although your vans are very visible in our area and your company name well-known, because I had a misconception of larger ""well-groomed"" companies being gougers and rip-offs to cover their high overhead. (no offense)
As you may or may not know, our neighborhood recently changed from well water to city water. What a mess its caused in lots of homes. My neighbors, Mark and Jenny, across the street from me, had one of your vans sitting in front of there house recently. They trust and recommend your company.
When I called, your employee Tim answered, listened(rare), gave a brief opinion, asked about my availability, worked around my work schedule today and had someone out within the hour. WOW.
The technician that showed up, Pat T., was extremely professional, warm, knowledgeable, never bad-mouthed the other companies or their diagnosis, found the problem, ordered a part, PRICED THE JOB COMPETITIVELY, and was very pleasant to deal with. Keep that guy :)
After huge water bills 2 months in a row, a couple of companies giving us misdiagnosis, triple the amount in cost on estimates, and so much frustration, its a breath of fresh air to know that not every ""big outfit"" out there is trying to get or stay rich on one customer.
You have established a repeat customer in us sir/ma'am, and it feels good to know I have a plumbing company I can call on, trust, and afford. Thank you so much.
Keep up the great work!
Wade and Rhonda Anderson
We have had fantastic service from Milton Frank. We had a potential disaster with our water heater occur on a weekend day. I called Milton Frank and they were at our home in less than an hour. Fast, curteous and professional service. We signed up for the MVP service and you are truly treated like an MVP. Best of all, it is awsome to have a plumber named Plummer!!! Thanks Chris :)
I ATTENDED ONE OF MILTONS OPEN HOUSES,
AND GOT REAL INTERESTED IN THE TANKLESS WATER HEATER, SAME AS WE HAVE IN GERMANY.
I ABSOLUTELY HATE A BIG WATER HEATER IN MY ADDICK.
THE GET OLD, RUSTY, THEN LEAK THRU THE CEILING, WHICH HAPPENED TO 7 OF MY NEIGHBORS.
SO WE GOT PRO ACTIVE AND CALL'D MILTON FRANK TO INSTALL OUR WONDERFUL TANKLESS WATER HEATER.
HIS STAFF WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND NICE, BESIDES WE GET GREAT TAX SAVINGS BY USING LESS POWER.
I HIGHLY RECOMEND MILTON FRANK'S PLUMMING.:):)

Recently my hotwater heater failed while I was out of town, flooding my downstairs. Once the clean-up was complete I needed a new water heater quick. I called several of the big name plumbing companies and got prices. Milton Frank plumbing co. had the best price and was able to install that same afternoon. The service team was quick, professional and friendly. I know who I will call the next time I have a plumbing issue. Milton Frank for sure
Found MFP online but didn't read any reviews! We had 2 busted pipes from the freeze. One outside faucet and one PBV sprinkler valve. The tech quoted me a price of $840 to fix or pay the $48.50 trip charge. Since we are fairly new to the area I assumed this was a standard rate. After the job we found the price for the PBV part was only about $75.00 but were charged almost $500. The technician did a good job and they showed up on time but I really think they were very overpriced! Not sure if I would use them again.
I have had many pleasant experiences with Milton Frank Plumbing. In emergencies, they came out and made reccomendations to fix my problem that always left me feeling that they gave me the best solution that was practical and in my budget. They were always on time and very professional. I have lived in Champions for over 30 years and I have reccommended Milton Frank to friends and relatives. Don't hesitate to call them.
We have a 30-year relationship and counting. It started when they came in to correct some plumbing work by another company. We later moved to a location outside their service area but, because of our long relationship, they continue to service us. And apparently this extends to the next generation. They also service our son's home even though he is also outside their service area.
Loyalty pays, and in this instance it runs both ways.
We have used Milton Frank for work on all 3 of the homes we have owned in the NW Houston area. I wouldn’t even look in the phone book for someone else. We have used them on our home. I am on the board at our church and we use them at our church. I have also recommended them to other neighbors and church members. We have lived all over the US and Milton Frank is one of the best value service providers we have ever used over the years. Highly recommended by our family.

We recently had a water filter and softener installed by Milton Frank Plumbing and are very pleased! They even sent us stainless water bottles after the appointment to carry our awesome water with us! The two guys they sent were very nice and clean. The pricing was very comperable to the 2 other estimates that I had. I will use Milton Frank for all my future plumbing needs (hoping there are none though!)!

I give Milton Franks a BIG FAT ZERO. They charged almost $300 to run a snake to clean out my sewer line. It took all of ten minutes. They wouldn't quote a price over the phone but I figured maybe $150 (I have typically paid around $100 for this type work in the past). But they ended up charging double the going rate. What a bunch of Jerks! I wish I had read the reviews before I called them. I just saw the 4 star rating. I'm sure all the positive reviews they show on the web are from employees. I will never use them again and you shouldn't either

In contacting MFP & asking for a verbal estimate, I was told they couldn't quote over the phone; the plumber would give an on-site quote. When the plumber arrived he quoted $525 to install a customer supplied kitchen faucet set and garbage disposal. He stated that the prices are an established ""flat rate"" from a MFP pricing chart & they haven't billed using an hourly rate for a few years. So the office should have been able to give me a verbal estimate from their pricing chart. The plumber also stated he couldn't give me a ballpark estimate on how long the job would take. Surmizing no longer than a 2 hour job, I wrote a check for the $48.50 trip charge and asked the plumber to leave. I used McKinley Plumbing Services of The Woodlands, another family owned plumbing business in my area. When called, they quoted me their ""flat rate"" for the same jobs over the phone and when their plumber arrived he had no difficulty telling me the entire job would take approximately 1.5 hours. Able to calculate the ""hourly rate"" (which was still high) I agreed to the job and ended up paying $247 for the work. If Milton Frank's plumber would have done the installation in about the same time, they would have made $350/per hour. I had used MFP in the past and according to them I'm a valued customer. I emailed MFP to relate my disappointment and received a response stating they shredded my check for the service call and apologized for my bad experience. Nonetheless, I will not utilize their services in the future. I simply can't afford to pay their rates.

After receiving a quote, we called them to not come back to do work. They never got hold of their crew, so their crew started. When I got hold of them again, they immediately wanted to know what they could do so I wouldn't get another estimate. They dropped the price 40%, telling me they MUST bring ALL valves to ""code"" before they could do the gas leak test! The joke was on ME - according to the gas company - they said none of it was neccessary, they only needed to fix the leak. The spokesman I spoke too did everything he could to talk me out of getting a second opinion, thousands of dollars later - I know why! But I will admit, they ALL had their ""salespitch"" rehearsed. Dont even bother getting an estimate from them - call ANYONE else.

I have a mobile home and had a 1/2 inch PVC elbow (75 cent part) disconnect under the house. Since I was out of state at the time and have someone renting the house I had to find a plumber to replace the elbow fitting. I've done much plumbing before and know that this repair takes no more than 30 minutes, including having to go under the house to get to the piece (10 feet crawl/crouch). Milton Frank was punctual about having a guy at the house within an hour. Once the guy got to the house he said it would cost $250 for him to go under the house (10 feet) to see what's wrong. Then he said it would cost approximately $350 to replace up to 10 feet of pipe, but remember I only needed one 75 cent part replaced. I was absolutely flabergasted over the fee of $600 to replace one tiny part of PVC. I called the owner of the company who said he could charge me more appropriately after the technician was able to see exactly what was bad, so I agreed. Forty-five minutes later the tech was finished and charged my $590. WOW, what a deal. This is the most ridiculus highway robbery I've ever encountered. Had the dispatcher told me about the fees when I initially called I would have definately found someone else. DO NOT USE MILTON FRANK PLUMBING UNLESS YOU LOVE THROWING MONEY AWAY. THEY ARE EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. GET SOMEONE ELSE. All plumbers use the same parts, and in this situation, a one-eyed monkey could have performed the repair successfully.
Oh, I forgot to tell you. The part they replaced failed the very same day. Now I have to call tomorrow morning to have them come back to fix their fix. I'm curious to see if they will charge me again. I have a feeling the tech will tell me that some other part now needs to be replaced, just like a auto mechanic, and want to charge me for a new full repair. If they do, my next call will be the BB Bureau, then off to small claims court.
