Mi Casita Mexican Restaurant

I honestly wish they offered a lower rating for this location in Spring Lake....I am honestly thinking about writing corporate. I was there with a friend on a Friday evening, after their dinner rush. After sitting down with menus for one minute, our waiter (who appeared to be on some drug,) asked to take our order, we politely said we were not ready. LESS THAN one minute later he came back and we were still not ready! It was appx 10 minutes until the guy came back to take our order, Im sorry, did we inconvenience his working and his duty as a server!?!?! In the meantime, we needed more chips...and with 5 different employees coming by, no one offered to replace. After 20 minutes, our food arrived which was decent, but our waiter didnt take the time to see if there was anything else we needed! He just came by and dropped the tab on our table! This is by far, the worse experience I have had in a restaurant since I can remember, and I dine out all the time! SHAME on you Mi Casita! I will NOT recommend to anyone!

My family and I just love this restaurant and go there weekly. My husband gets the steak special w/ tomatoes, jalapenos, bell peppers & onions, steak a la tampiquena, or tacos de carne asada; my boys & I used to get fried chicken chimichangas, but since we tried the fried chicken Burritos Fundidos (w/ extra pico de gallo) about 2 years ago, no more, as they are out of this world. Note, everyone I know that tries them, says the same thing and believe me, I know good mexican food. My other son gets the Fajitas trio and absolutely loves this dish. To me, the salsa (except when they change it up) & chips are good, but the guacamole isn't as it is artificial guacamole. All in all, we love it and you won't be disappointed. Note some of the other MiCasitas in town use real guacamole. Again, all in all, this is a good restaurant. Note, lunch is more reasonable than dinner but meals can be shared as they give you large portions. DB from Fort Bragg

HORRIBLE. I couldn't eat what I ordered. The staff seemed nice, but that doesn't matter if you can't eat the food. The beans have more of a glue like texture and the hamburger meat is almost rubbery. Don't even get me started on the sauce. When I asked the waiter what he orders from there he laughed and said, "I'll cook my own food in the kitchen if I get hungry." I was amazed at how awful it was, should have just taken the kids next door to sonic for a hot dog.

My friend hated his burritos. My son hated the corn dogs. And I couldn't digest the Taco Salad. I had my heart sat on some Mexican fried ice cream...HORRIBLE!!! They don't even fry the ice cream. They saturate it with caramel sauce (I hate caramel!) and then cover it with whole corn flakes!!! I complained about it nicely while paying my $33 bill...and the server just seemed amused!!! NEVER AGAIN will I waste my money in this place. I only with there because Los Camales is no longer open.



IF YOU LIKE GOOD MEXICAN FOOD....STAY AWAY!!!!



I'll travel to Fayetteville or Aberdeen next time!!!
