Anchor Hospice is one of the most wonderful hospice in Houston. Professional staff who are helpful whenever you need them in your room, while giving privacy. I just want to say thanks to Anchor Hospice and their team. Keep up the good work like this.

Excellent place to work with knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and helpful staff. Upper management cares about staff and patient’s needs. Most employees have been with the company since opening over 12 years ago. Nurses are compassionate and professional. Physicans are easy to get ahold of for new orders. Best benefit package ever seen at an agency for full time staff. Able to get medical equipment, medications, and medical supplies same day for patients. Plenty of caring social workers and chaplains to help with the patient’s and families’ emotional and spiritual needs. Overall great hospice team that gives exceptional care to their patients.
Nothing but praise for AMed Community Hospice! My mom was put on hospice 2 years ago, so we really got to know the caregivers and the Caseworker, Donna. Donna visited her at least twice a week and CNA Marianna (sp!) gave her baths 3 times a week. Both Donna and Marianna were the most caring, loving people we could have hoped for.... When it was determined that my mom was "actively dying", Donna ordered 24-hour round-the-clock bedside assistance. That meant that, in the final week, my mom had someone at her bed ALL THE TIME. The hospice workers that AMed sent out were very sympathetic and caring; all the time helping our family cope with our loved one's passing. We all learned a lot about how to say our good-byes and ensure my mom's peaceful transition. I am very satisfied with how it all went, and very THANKFUL TO AMED Hospice for everything.
My brother that was down syndrome was on service with Grace hospice of Texas and they were wonderful. Their whole staff was so professional and I am very grateful to each and everyone of them. Thank you Grace Hospice.
The hospital where my mom was at had recommended Grace hospice to us and we are extremely grateful. The liaison came and spoke with us at the hospital. She was so warm and friendly and gave us so much information. We really had no idea how hospice worked but she walked us through every step and answered every question we had. When we got my mom home the nurse was there and was so compassionate and caring. Their whole team was so loving and caring and I highly recommend them. I know you will be extremely pleased.
My mother was on Hospice with Grace Hospice for 11 Months and they were recommended to us by friends who both parents were on hospice with them.. Our nurse was the most caring nurse. So loving and became like family along with the rest of the staff. The Chaplin and the social worker went beyond the call of duty. I highly recommend this company to anyone.
DO NOT EXPECT THEM TO REIMBURSE MONEY TO YOU WHEN THEY PROMISED TO DO SOKaren O'Brien, the person who signed us on with Vitas hospice care on 4/9/15 told us that we might not get my dad's pain medicine in time so she asked me to purchase the medicine and Vitas will reimburse me. I gave the original receipt to the nurse at team 503 and she said she will turn it in to get it reimbursed.Since then I have tried to follow up with the nurse and team 503 to see what the status on the reimbursement every week for two months.I have called, emailed, wrote a letter to team 503, customer care and every number and person I can find in Vitas network but as of today NO ONE has contacted me regarding to my reimbursement. The person that is responsible for billing in team 503 is Liza Bailey. I have tried to reach her countless times but she could not give me an answer as to when I will receive the refund check and has ignored me for months after May.Till this date, I have not received any response back from them.
I just recently got out of this place. I BROKE my leg and spent more than a month there. I have to say I was very disgusted by the care I was receiving MOSTLY by the night nurses. It took them forever to get to you, they were very rude. No matter how much I complained to the head nurse nothing ever seemed to change! The administrator (Laura) was rude. There were only a few nurses that cared about you and took the time to talk to you. DONT EVER CARRY ANYTHING OF VALUE WITH YOU!!! MY ROOMMATE HAD $400.00 STOLEN FROM HER BY ONE OF THE NIGHT NURSES AND "LAURA" DID NOTHIG ABOUT IT.
I am ready to scream! I was made so many assurances for my mother's care.. all of which is told one day, then changed the next. This has been a nightmare of incompetence & confusion!Very sorry I started with them! A. Stern
