Memorable Valentines Day Dinner

We decided to have dinner at Ripples on the River for Valentines Day because we had a free appetizer coupon, we were told they were not serving appetizers on Valentines Day, but, after talking to management were given the appetizer menu from the bar and not off the main menu. We ordered the Lobster/Crab cakes and were served 2 cakes for $8.50 for anyone w/o a coupon.
When we arrived all window tables were full, we asked how long the wait was for 1, and were rudely informed that it wasn't possible, cause they were reserved all evening. After being seated, we waited at least 15 minutes for water and any kind of acknowledgment. The customers seated after us, with a different waiter already had there water, rolls, drinks and salad. Our salad order was incorrect and had to be sent back and corrected. Also the customers that were seated after us asked the hostess if they could have a window table if a reservation canceled, and was moved to a window table after we were told that wasn't possible. We noticed that all the window tables that were supposedly reserved all evening weren't being refilled by customers, so we asked the hostess to be moved to 1, and was shuffled over to a corner table by the window. Time for our bill, and the check was incorrect. After all the fuss with the appetizer, the waiter charged us for it, (free coupon) and bill had to be corrected. We asked for a comment card, and was told by the waiter with a huge sigh that he would go find one. After returning with the comment card, that pertained to the Red Lion Hotel more than the restaurant, we asked for a pen, and was handed the one that the waiter kept putting in his mouth when he rang up customers checks/bills. We used a napkin wrapped around the pen to fill out the small section of the comment card regarding the restaurant.
I will say the food was very good, the service for a $77.00 meal was horrible. A Valentine's Day dinner we will never forget.

Good customer service

I sat in the bar, and all the wait staff was very friendly and prompt on refills of water, drinks, offering everything! Very good experience.
