insisted I pay cash difficult to get an invoice off of him - finally a scribbled - scratched scrap of paper - my accountant can't read it! No address, no receipt, rude and over charged me. I asked him to swap HD in my laptops - THAT"S all he had to do. They were hot swap-able and had identical OS on them. He charged 5 X the going rate. Everyone else I town charges less than half of that! I was under pressure and went with him because years ago he worked on my desktop. Like a fool, I was nervous to have anyone work on my business machines - that meant that I did not do a very thorough job visa vie getting quotes before hiring him. I felt pressured ( my fault to fall there ) as he went on and on dissing the local mac repair community. To add to this, the computer failed - I simple don't know if it is because of what he did or not - so I'm not saying anything - but it worked for a couple of weeks and then both computers went down.He is over charging and someone suggested that he may just be in 'trouble' which accounts for all his hasty rudeness. My friend, (as I"m partially disabled ) took the computer in and picked it up said he mostly bragged about his personal life, new young wife - and man, I'd stay away from this dude until the dust or whatever is going on settles.This is the first negative review I've ever placed in my life. I just don't do that. If I can't put something positive - which is rare, I just shut up///but so many of us are running close to the knuckle profit margins and this sort of problem needs to be stated and clearly.
Before I went back to Spokane Laptop.com I was trying to look it up on line, as I had been there several times before. I needed my laptop fixed and even though I read negative reviews I still went back. Jerry was kind and very up front with me as to how much the repair would cost. As I have 2 degrees in electronics I am a little more savvy probably then most people. He was not only fair in the price he was also great about making sure that if I have any problems that to get ahold of him. He did not know that I had 2 degrees so I don't feel that he treated me the way he did because of it. In this day an age it seems like people only want to find the negative about some instead of looking for the positive. I would definitely recommend him because he takes his time and makes sure it is right before it leaves the shop.
Professional and courteous service. I'm not terribly knowledgable with computers, but I don't need to be because I have the staff at Hughes. I am always given clear, concise information simply enough so that I can understand, but not so much as to feel simple myself. ���� Great people. Great upfront pricing. Go local!
