Spolang has been a great place for my daughter. My now 6 year old began attending Spolang in April 2015, and we LOVE it! I was a little apprehensive at first because it was my daughters first time away from me. With the devoted help of Frau Barnes, my daughter and I soon overcame the "separation and language hump" (as Frau Barnes calls it).I've truly been impressed with how much she has blossomed and learned since she started. She loves singing song learned in class and spontaneously uses phrases with us and around friends and family. Frau Barnes is patient and fair and one of the best that I've observed, and I am a mother who has very high standards. She seems to genuinely care about my daughter, and my child absolutely adores her. She is a one-of-a-kind dedicated teacher and always strives to do what is best for my child instead of "merely teaching vocabulary".Frau Barnes is helpful, friendly and very accommodating. The classroom activities are lovely, engaging, creative, and fun! Every time I pick up my daughter I see how much she's enjoying classes. We are leaving Spokane this year and it saddens my heart that we will be leaving this amazing school. If I could take Frau Barnes with me, I would.I recommend Spolang to my friends and family because of the quality of care that my daughter has received.

Horrible money hungry people. Awful Child Care, Pastor of the church is dishonest and greedy. Do not take your children to this establishment, literally dropping them off on the side of the road whilst you work would be a better choice.
The staff at Just Imagine treats the children like their own. They welcome the children everyday with a smile and my child has a very easy transition. My 3rd child goes to her and I wish all of mine has. I have had the fewest teary goodbyes with my 3rd than with my other 2 who went to centers. My son knows he is loved there. My son is currently about 2.5 years old and is so much more linguistically advanced than my other 2 at this time. He comes home singing full nursery rhymes, most of the alphabet and knows most of his numbers from 1-20. He also brags about how good his lunch is an he wants to be a chef some day. Just Imagine is a very well run facility that I feel meets all the needs of children.
Horrible place! They do NOT care about the children there at all. I've witnessed some pretty terrible stuff like two of the teachers holding down a preschooler because she was in "time out" that is just unacceptable, the poor little girl was screaming at the top of her lungs while but they held her down and yelled at her. I knew I had to get my son out of there ASAP. Would not recommend this place at all!
Lilac City Early Learning Center lacks a clear understanding of child development and places unrealistic expectations on children at a very young age. Although they ensure they will work with your family to foster to your child's individual needs that is not case. If your child is struggling with social-emotional skills this place is not a fit for you. It is their policy that if your child has two incident reports your child will be sent home for the day, this includes toddlers who are going through the dreaded biting stage. If your child is sent home for the day you have a time frame that your child is demanded to be picked up. If you are not able to make it in that frame your child will be immediately terminated from their program. After several failed attempts to reach the director, we were notified via email on a Saturday that our two year old child was being terminated from their program. My husband and I did everything that was asked of us to try and help our two year old child succeed at LCELC. Our child did not fit the mold of their program and that was insinuated on multiple occasions. The director is very out of touch with the issues surrounding her classrooms, as she spends very little time with your children, in fear of disrupting her own child’s day. As a childcare center that claims to care about children and families, it should be expected that the director would exhaust every option to help a child succeed. If a child cannot find success in the program you would except a sit down meeting with ample notice to make other arrangements.
Not impressed with this facility by any means. When we pick up our 5 year old son from Just Imagin Early Learning and it is always utter chaos there. Some of the "teachers" look very questionable on there ability to be honest in passing a background check with how they present themselves and interact with children. Kids are always yelling and screaming, no control over what so ever. The "teachers "seem like they could care less what children are saying to one another and who's being picked on. Dana is prompt with correcting actions within the class room when issues are brought up however, the "teachers" seem to ignore what's going on while the chat with one another. Mean while kids are picking on one another, calling eaxh2othrt names; then they wonder why there are behavior problems with children not listing. By far not impressed with this child care facility.
MY SON AND I LOVE THIS PLACE! Stephanie has made an incredible difference and now every time we come in we feel welcomed and engaged. Everyone there works as a team, my 2yo always has a fun and has been learning SO MUCH. Shastaway Kindercare feels like home to us and I plan on staying for a long time
In my search for the best possible education, I found SpoLang to be Spokane's Hidden Treasure. My daughter absolutely LOVES going to Pre-School at SpoLang. The multisensory and age/ability appropriate approach on learning make this school the perfect place for any child to learn German or Spanish. Frau Barnes provides a fun and stimulating environment. Her teaching style is very hands on and children simply seem to connect with her.I highly recommend SpoLang Foreign Language Academy to anyone!
I give a two. I gave an extra star in hopes that my experience years ago, would not be accurate today. BUT my experience while pregnant and interviewing at the facility was unacceptable as a parent. The girls seemed inpatient and nonchalant dealing with other peoples children. It smelled bad and the one child I held a three year old girl was soaked in urine. However this was a toddler room, and I couldn't speak for the infants... but this raised concern for me.
My sons, ages 9 and 10 only attended one week and I withdrew them. The Director interogated my nine year old son about being vegetarian, tried to shame him about eating McDonalds fries stating they cook them with meat and the oils blend. She flat out lied to me when I spoke to her about it. She yelled at him in front of the entire school age class telling him he was annoying and that his questions (a whole two times he raised his hands at library outing) were silly. My older son, who usually does not get emotional told me if I had been there I would have 'freaked' at how she spoke to my younger son and to the entire class. With tears in his eyes he said " Mommy I know you need us to go to daycare but PLEASE do not send us there ever again. She was so mean to Matham telling him he talks too much when he does not even hardly talk there and he never gets marked down like other kids." (some kind of internal scoring) . SHE IS THE DIRECTOR! She does not belong working anywhere near children.
