Whole families prescription was wrong. Spent over $1000. to get new correct prescriptions! Not one or two of us but all of us. Lady at front desk gives this weird rude vibe like fake friendliness but short and irritated every time we went in. Never go here you might regret it.

From Business: At LensCrafters located at 4750 N Division St, we believe vision care is about far more than a pair of glasses or a prescription. Eyes are windows to the world, c…
They are not forthcoming or honest. They told me that they were "in my network" for my insurance. Aftet spending hours with them figuring out how much my glasses were going to be, it came to almost $370.00. I was stunned because my co-pay is supposed to be $30.00. They then told me that"that meant $30 for each item". Exam,lenses,bi-focal, etc. I called my insurance company, and they informed me that Eyeglass World was NOT in my network. I would call your insurance company before doing business with them. This was not from just 1 employee, I dealt with several through this waste of time, so apparently, they are trained to do this. That has prompted me to boycott and inform others.
Not the best experience overall, but my expectations were fairly low to begin with. In my case, I went in specifically to get glasses to wear over my contact lenses (for reading). They said no problem, went through the process for an eye exam (with my existing contacts) that was advertised as free with the two pair for $69.95 special, picked out a couple of pair of frames and paid my money. When I picked up the glasses and tried them out, they were not in focus at the correct reading distance. The technician, Ellie, told me that she would have to talk to the doctor the next day to see what needed to be done to correct them. She called me the next day and said that as I did not have a current contact lens prescription, that I would have to have a contact lens examination before they would do any additional work to fix the glasses. I told her at this point that that was not the agreement we had when I paid for the glasses and if that was their only option for correcting the glasses, that I would want to return them for a refund. She said that she had to speak to the doctor and then after a few minutes on hold, she came back on and said to bring them back. Today (5/11/13), I returned to bring the glasses back and get a refund and was told by the store manager, Laura, that they would only refund the difference after the cost of the eye exam was considered. This is ridiculously poor service. I can understand if you just don't like the glasses and were returning them, but when they are unable to provide the product that they sold you under the original terms, they should refund the entire amount. The store manager Laura was nice, but not helpful in resolving the issue. The entire experience with them feels more and more like buying something from a shady used car dealer.
