This is the most unorganized bakery I have ever dealt with. I ordered half a sheet cake and 36 cupcakes for my husbands 40th surprise birthday party. I drove over a hour and I guess the surprise was on me because she never made my order and the only employee working couldn't even find my order from three weeks before. When the employee called her at home she said I could wait for her to come in and bake one with her knowing I drove all that way. In my opinion she should have offered to deliver seeing as how it was her mess up. I will never recommend her half run business to anyone

We ordered a cake from Cakes by Karen in Spencerport last February. My daughter wanted her son’s birthday to be special with a professional looking cake. Cakes by Karen was advertised on WBEE radio, or so a family member told us. Checked out her web site and they looked awesome. This cake cost them $115, paid extra for delivery. The cake tasted awful, it had a thicker layer of sickly sweet frosting than what the cake was. The cake was stale and tasteless. The cake was cracked in 3 places even after paying for her to deliver. I don’t think I have to say much about the decorating you can see for yourself. I called to complain. Her husband said they could only provide us a small refund because “business wasn’t good this time of year”. Rethink before you order a cake from Cakes by Karen. It would have been one thing if we could have ate it. The entire cake went in the dumpster. The kids wouldn’t even eat it. Horrible, horrible cake professional…. Buyer beware

My cake was the wrong color, looked very rushed and just was not what I wanted for my wedding. Contacted her afterwards and she was nasty and blew it off like it was no big deal!! She's very unorganized and definately wouldn't recommend her unless you like dealing with rude people! Good way to loose all your clientele!
