Cannons Elementary School is one of the elementary schools operated by the Spartanburg School District 3, and offers classes from grades prekindergarten through five. Its curriculum includes language arts, English, science, math, social studies, health and physical education, computers, and performing and fine arts. The school has a student council, and offers drama and science clubs, running club, and intramural sports, such as basketball, soccer, volleyball and softball. Its additional programs include Cannons Press Club TV News where students conduct a TV show each morning that is broadcast live to all classrooms, accelerated reader program, and Wee Deliver, where students operate an in-house post office. The school has a publishing center that encourages students to write frequently and become authors and publishers. Cannons Elementary School has won the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence award, and is located in Spartanburg, S.C.
