My wife and I have been married for 25 years now. For our Anniversary this year, I decided to surprise her with a new wedding set. I had shopped around at a few other stores before I came across this store. My wife had been dropping hints about a ring which she saw online at Kay. What I did not like about the ring at Kay was the quality of the center stone (it was an I1-I2). Sonny got me a SI1 which was the same carat weight as the Kay ring and gave it to me for less. My wife loves her new rock.
Make sure you talk to Sunny at this store. He was absolutely amazing and really took care of me. I've had some really crappy experiences at other places and thought this would be the same but it was awesome. I absolutely will come back.
Sunny helped me find the perfect ring for my at the time girlfriend. She loved th engagement ring and we went back a few days later to get it sized and everything went smoothly. She had the ring back in 3 days and wears it everyday even to work with no problems...They had the same ring at kays for like 750 more but sunny gave me a good deal because i couldnt afford a whole lot at the time.
East coast jewelers has always been great, Always have great jewelery, have bought a bulova watch and a great Cross chain, all their jewelery is well priced. The owner sonny has always gone out of his way to take care of us. Ive been shopping with him forever now and highly recommend him
My boyfriend made the mistake of buying me a ring here (the gem stopped shining after a week and fell out a couple days after that). I went in to complain or have them fix it, and the whole staff was rude and unproffesional. Sunni, the "owner," started making rude comments about my boyfriend before blatently hitting on me. I left the store and the ring. Looks like the only way they make business. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! If your car breaks down in their parking lot, push it.
I bought a ring here that was .925 sterling silver and I was told that the stones in it were "lab created diamonds", they are, in fact, cubic zirconia. The first time the ring came back from resizing, it had a ripple on the side and slag all over it. The owner, Sonny, said it looked great when he handed it to me, I realized the issue after I left the store (but not the mall) with it. Louis (the one that sold it to me) looked at it and apologized heavily for it and said it was unacceptable and that he would put a rush job on the repair. I was told I would get it back on Monday (it was Friday then). I called Monday and Sonny told me they had just sent it out that day and it wouldn't be back until Wednesday. I called Wednesday and he said it wouldn't be back until Friday (yesterday). I went to get it Friday and the place that had the metal ripple had the coating flaking off, there were pit marks from the slag, and (under Helzberg's 10x magnifier) you could see where the coating was very thin and there were divots all over the band. That's when I discovered it was cubic zirconia. I took it back to Sonny and he said that he wouldn't refund it and every ring has flaws like that under 10x magnification. When I walked off (before I lost it), he told my fiancee that I was paranoid and he saw nothing wrong with it. When I went back and started yelling at him after I found out about the fake stones, he said I was crazy to my face and then tried to recant it when I told him I wasn't crazy. I threw the ring towards him (it landed near his feet) and stormed off, yelling that he could keep his $100 donation (they gave me half off because of all of the issues I have had with rings from other places) and his p.o.s. costume jewelry. When my fiancee went back to get the ring, Sonny had left it lying on the ground where it had landed and one of the stones had fallen out! He said he would replace the stone, but still wouldn't refund my money. When I told him I would call the BBB and report him as well as 7 on your side problem solvers, he dared me to. We will go back up there on Monday and talk with Louis. If he won't refund it, I will follow up on my threat.
I have had wonderful gold work done by these guys, jewelry reworked, or reset. They have ordered special request items for me and I even took my platinum ring in to be resized and they did such a beautiful job I also took my sister's in to be worked on. I am unsure about the return policy mentioned before and can't possibly imagine they sell "fake jewelry" I have been collecting for over 25 yrs and I could tell.. BTW major stores such as Zales and Kay's commonly sell silver jewelry with semi precious gemstones in it.
