Angelini's Pizzaria & Ristorante

This place is HORRIBLE! It really does not deserve even one star. The food is cheaply made. The service is very very slow!! The quantity of food is very poor, especially for the price! I wouldn't recommend this place if it were the last place in the small town of Sparta. We were a party of 6 and everyone was disappointed. I had eggplant that was basically noodles, cheap sauce, and bread crumbs for $15!! The pizza was bad as well. Someone in our party ordered stuffed shells and got 3 small shells and lots of cheap sauce. No bread before meal and no salad!!!! Do yourself a favor and choose another place to go!

After looking at angelini's website, I really wanted to "taste the difference" like it said. I was so dissapointed that an italian restaurant would serve Alfredo out of a jar!! That is a huge no, no. Not worth $13 a plate. No salad with that or anything, just one lonely piece of garlic bread. If you can't make it yourself, don't have it on the menu. Come on people, it's 3 main ingredients!! Mine at home is a thousand times better. Ciatti's and Olive garden beats them hands down. And I was expecting something better than the chain restaurants, and got worse. We had 4 people in our group, they served 3 of us and brought my dad's out later. Another huge no, no. At a nice restaurant, no matter the size of the party, all dishes should come out at the same time, no exceptions!! Have more servers if you have to. Water was not refilled like it should have been. My dad had a beef sandwhich, he is not picky but to give it any flavor at all and so he could choke down the dried up beef he had to soak it in ketchup!! I expected a 10 and got a 1-. Now I want to go somewhere and get a good meal tonight.

Celebrating the first day of college, we took our son and his friend to Angelini's in Sparta for pizza. None of us had ever been there, but heard it was good. It was a Thursday night @ 6pm, and there were only two other tables of diners when we arrived and placed our order. We ordered two pizzas and a round of beers. The place filled up quickly, and diners began receiving food that they ordered a half hour after we placed our order. Service was the worst I have ever had and our waitress ignored us almost the entire visit. After an hour we received the first pizza we ordered and about 20 minutes later the second pizza came. Diners came and went...two hours later, and no apologies (other than from the diners seated behind us who arrived and left before we got our food), we finally finished our meal. No one would come to take our check, so I walked the check to our waitress and politely asked if she could run it right away, as we had been there for over two hours.



The worst part is, a man (who I assume is either the manager or the owner), came up behind me and told me how rude I am and that they are down two people on the waitstaff...then he said "NEVER COME BACK!!!" How embarrassing that the entire bar was filled with people who overheard the manager say that to me, after I spent over $60 and over two hours of my time in the establishment. I have never been treated so rudely by anyone in my life, and will never recommend Angelini's Pizza in Sparta to anyone! They do not deserve the one star I had to give them...

I am not sure what these other people who gave only one star are talking about...I seriously doubt the validity of these reviewers' testimony, because I have been there 3 times and the service has been spectacular as well as the food. I have had pizza from all over the U.S., and this is by far the best I have had. Seriously. The bruschetta is also excellent! I live over 2 hours away in Minneapolis and will make the 2+ hour drive just to go get this fantastic pizza. Someone who I assume was the owner came to ask us how our meal was each and every time I have been there. I was very impressed with this gem that I happened to stumble upon last fall.

We had come to provide this place a lot of business as Soldier's from Fort Mccoy in preparation for Deployment. One soldier tried to call and cancel an order which they refused to cancel. The reason was the food was already made which was a total lie because we called back 1 minute later according to the cell phones and the delivery time on the order was 1 hour and 30 minutes. The reason he tried to cancel the order was they charged 2 5.00 delivery fees on the same delivery order. We did not cuss at them, but they sure cussed us out calling the soldiers s*** bags and saying they would never deliver to us ever again. If you order from these guys and have trouble, be prepared to not get your money back and also be prepared to be cussed out and overcharged.

This is one of my favorite Sparta restaurants. There isn't a lot of room but the food is great.
