Thank you John you did a great job. I felt like a customer and not a job you had to do. Wish more people treated people like you do. A+ job thanks again.
I had Kevin from Customer Comfort Heating & Cooling install A Fujitsu heating & cooling unit in my home. At first the unit worked fine but eventually began to slowly lose it’s ability to cool. I called Kevin and explained that I wished him to come out and tell me what was wrong with it. I expressed to him that I was concerned in getting this done as soon as possible as the unit’s factory warranty was still in place and that if something were wrong with it they would replace it or the parts. I asked him if there maybe could have been something overlooked or done wrong in the installation process and he said we would fix it if that were the case. He stated he would get back with me to set up an appointment. He did not. So after several days I called him back and he said he still hoped to stop by yet that day. He did not. I then called and asked if he would please call me. He did not. I called both his residence and cell number and was never able to contact him so I left multiple requests for him to call me one way or another. After about 8 calls I finally gave up. I then contacted another local firm and they came out the next day and fixed my unit. The problem was a shoddy installation in the form of a poorly formed flair he had performed on the tubing and the corresponding nut to that flair joint that was never properly tightened, which resulted in a slow but steady leak of refrigerant. This trouble with the fitting was confirmed by the repair technician who had to cut off the poorly formed flair from the tubing and produce a new flair that was smooth and burr free, unlike the previous. The service man said the prior installer’s flair showed evidence of someone who didn’t know how to properly perform this function. He was rather amazed. The technician then applied a thread sealant and properly tightened the fitting and performed a pressurized test of the system to ensure no leaks. Let me be clear that I never asked Kevin to come out and do this function for free. I merely wanted to get it fixed and of course pay for it if the evidence showed it was not the fault of the unit or his installation. It was Kevin who told me he would back his work, but so much for his word. He obviously had no intentions of doing so. So Kevin’s refusal to come out and check my unit and the resultant need to hire someone else resulted in my having to pay $264 to repair his faulty workmanship. The worse part was his total lack of concern in keeping his word or at a bare minimum, returning my calls as a common courtesy. This happed of course when temperatures were soaring in the 100 degree marks. I am disabled (a fact he was aware of) and this was a great strain on my health. To add insult to injury he lives right off my street about a mile from my home. So if you purchase from this man be aware of the challenges you may incur. I myself learned the hard way. Let me put it another way…if he would come over and offer to put in and entirely brand new system for me for free…I wouldn’t accept it as a matter of principal. His integrity level is zero. That’s how impressed I was.
