Wow! Just got done reading this message by this disgruntled customer.
I have known Tom for 20 years and given him that many years of business. Never have I had a problem with the work he has done for me and never has he been condescending in any way. As a matter of fact he's always taken the time to explain everything in detail. He even allowed me to work on my own computer when he found out how eager I was to learn about computers.
Just how many store owners would take the time and patients to do that for a customer?
Needless to say, in my book he's the best computer store owners I have ever delt with.
Sorry for the negative experience you had there. I guess maybe he thought you were a "D**K". Hopefully he didn't invite you back so you could abuse him some more.

The owner Tom has an EXTREMELY poor, condesending" hes in charge" attitude! He definately makes you feel like an idiot for even stepping foot in his vacant store. He has know return policy and sells ego-t electronic cigs at triple mark up!!! Thats right folks he tells you your getting a modifyed unit but dont believe him!! What he is really giving you is a stripped down kit with NO extras AT ALL .Dont fall for his "I urge you to go elsewhere and try a cheap kit" line of B.S. Some of his products like the one I bought in stupidity are used while he sells as new for 102.64!! Dont bother asking for the flavor of your choice because he will give you what he wants! Its like he is spending your money out of your pocket for what he wants not you! Read his return statement it says choose carefully because their will be NO refunds/exchanges of ANY KIND!! I really feel sorry for his wife but don't let her lure you down there on the phone only to uncage this guy.

Had two horrible experiences:
First: I walked in to purchase an e-cig, was charged twice what they themselves retail it for online (discovered they had a site selling them post purchase), and the salesman swapped parts from my kit for parts from a less reliable system telling me it was there store policy.
Second: Took my laptop in to fix, got a quote for the work that was literally 3 times the value of the computer ($580 for a new Win 7 OS Upgrade, and the labor involved in cleaning my computer of some simple virus' and installing the upgrade itself). Unknown to them I am a software engineer and MS developer partner who was really looking for a reliable shop to send my clients when they have issues as I don't have time to code and fix computers at the same time. So I was being the secret shopper and trying to find a good place in Reno/Sparks area to use. I ended up finding Moondog as being as competent, reliable and honest as when I knew them 20 years ago.
In summary, if you want to get really ripped off and talked down too at the same time, go visit Tom at ""Computer Extreme"". You want honest, reasonably priced service go to Moondog. I also give PC Bee on Plumas St in Reno 4 of 5 stars too.
The only thing extreme about Computer Extreme are there prices, and ability to be rude pr*cks.

Okay,had a problem with a desk top that I had recently purchased from this place,guy's name was Tom. It's less than 6 months old and it started having issues connecting to the internet. Took it down to the store and the kid behind the counter said Tom was out, but would have him give me a call. Long story short,the kid called back and said that they would fix it and tune it up for.....get this.....$159!!! HUH?? WTF? Nice customer service,eh? Well told them to leave it alone I'll try somewhere else. Went to Moondog down by the convention center on S.Virgina....guy fixed it,needed a driver,and I was out the door for $20!! I gave him a $5 spot just for being able to help me out so fast! GO TO MOONDOG for your computer needs!! Computer Extreme is EXTREMELY HORRIBLE!
