We are new to the area and were recommended to Dr. Hamidi by my sister. She is very particular about who her children go to so I knew it was a good recommendation. Also, we aren't a family who needs a huge amount of medical attention but with 4 children, it happens. We have gone to Dr. Hamidi for a variety of reasons and I've always found him to be a very patient, funny, practical and energetic doctor who REALLY listens to what you're saying and interjects very insightful comments. He isn't afraid to tell you if he thinks you're completely wrong but he'll listen to what you're saying beforehand to get all the information. Doctors are still people so they aren't going to be right 100% of the time but I would say that Dr. Hamidi is batting about 99.99 out of a 100.

Went to this doctor and found him pleasant, however his advice was very poor. I did not go back.
Called the friend who said he was a good doctor in my area and told her my experience.
She said they no longer go to him.
She found her 95 yr. old mother on the floor; she had fallen and was hurting. They took her to Dr. Hamidi who said she was fine and sent her back to her apartment where she lived alone. On the way home, they discussed the advice and the mother was moaning. They took her to the hospital where they found a fracture in her back. They ran tests and found other issues Dr. Hamidi should have found. After a few days in the hospital, she was transferred to a nursing home and died a couple of months later. Nice care, Dr. Hamidi.

Dr. Hamidi is a thoughtful, careful General Physician. He is careful to review past issues and access new problems with more than just prescriptions. He carefully reviews habits, meals, and other environmental issues before prescribing. He's fantastic with my stubborn 87 year old Mom who is anything but easy to deal with. His demeanor is adult to adult, he never talks down to patients. Many Doctors will quickly reject your own assessment, Hamidi won't, he'll listen carefully. Hamidi has extensive experience with geriatric patients, but his practice is as a complete family provider.

My friend/co-worker relocated to PA and had to change insurances, doctors, dentists, pharmacies, etc nothing personal. She asked for her medical files to be transferred from Dr. Hamidi's office to her new doctor's office, however before she could get an appointment with the new doctor she ran out of a critical prescription medication. The pharmacy told her to contact Dr. Hamidi to authorize a refill so she called his office and made the request. He called her house and left a message that since she had transferred her files she should get the new doctor to give the prescription. She called him back the next day and explained that she had run out of meds and had not yet seen the new doc, but he was very rude and only agreed to give her a refill if she came back to his office. It was painful to see the hurt in her face. This came from someone that she believed cared about her well being, but apparently all he cares about is lining his pockets.
Dr. Hamidi shame on you for not putting your patients welfare before the money you hope to milk from the insurance company! By your actions you have revealed how uncaring and insensitive you are. All your smiles and phony warmth will not cover how cold and mercenary your heart is. I am glad she will never go back to your office and neither will any one we know.
Dr. Hamidi is an outstanding Dr. He has always healed me when I have gone to see him, and isn't that what going to a Dr is all about about? It is a bonus that he is kind, caring, and considerate, and compassionate. He is not "Untouchable" and has always returned my calls, and made time for me when I have had an emergency. He reminds me of the "Old Family Doctor"...and I know...because my father was one! Whats wrong with healthcare in America today? Simple...We need more Dr.s like Cyrus Hamidi! I highly recommend. (PS..One of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet!)

Dr. Hamidi is the most caring, compassionate, intelligent, and down to earth doctor I have ever met. When he comes into your treatment room to see you he acts as if you are the ONLY patient he has to treat. He is very intelligent, yet very unassuming. He never RUSHES you, answers all questions in ENGLISH (not mecical-ese) and talks TO you, not AT you. He is a careful listner and takes time not only to clearly understand what you are saying to him, but makes as sure as he can that the patient understands what he is asking and/or explaing to them! His office staff follow his example. They do not act as if they are doing you a favor to set an appointment for you and will try very hard to accommodate your needs. They do not act 'uppity', 'condensending' and 'full of themselves' but are very caring. You simply cannot go wrong with this doctor and his staff. My entire family now go to him. He is a true 'family' (as in adult and pediatric)practioner and is treating generations of the same family. It was my friend, who she and her two married children go to Dr. Hamidi, who first recommended him to me. I bless the recommendation! Kash
