Overall
All about the money

Let's just say it's all about the money for this vet. When you get a new pup they spread all the shots out so they can collect the maximum amount of money from you instead of making the apt so that the animal can get the max amount of shots. No matter the visit your going to drop over $100 each time. Ridiculous considering all the do is squeeze their bellies and weigh them. And if you choose to do something other than they recommend the sl the door as you leave the exam room and everyone in the waiting room jumps from the loud noise - wow that's professional-NOT! And how can you call yourself a hospital if you have no late evening/weekend emergency care? Get outa dodge doc!

Overall
Always above and beyond

There is so much to say about how wonderful Southwick Animal Hospital and their staff is that I dont even know where to start.

Compassionate and caring don't seem like enough words to describe when you get a hug and they hold you as your puting a sick pet down. When they mourn as you do at the loss that you have just had.

The way they talk to your kitty like it is a human being when they gently stoke them when it's time to give them a shot. The hospital has been their for me for over 8 years now, and at many times they have been so patient and understanding with me. The staff recognizes me and always give me the right answers and if they don't know they will get them for me.

I've seen Dr. Kazmickas sacrifice so much for me and so much for my pets I can't imagine what I'd be without her. When I am there with my pets we are there first priority and they love seeing my kitties and treat them in the same way that I want them to be treated. I hope everyone there knows how wonderful they are, and please never forget how much your caring and compassion means to all of us humans and pets. Love you all, Anna

Overall
does dr kuzmiskas need more help

My dog is very stressed at the vet to begin with and I get there for an apt with Dr. Kuzmiskas and she has a baby in a stroller in the room with me and my dog.I can't imagine why she would think this is ok to do.Does anyone else think thats a bad choice or am I being to critical? I think she needs to cut back her hours to keep that baby at home or work more to afford a good nanny.I've always had the greatest respect for her and thought she was an excellent Dr. but that action really made me think twice.

I rarely read internet comments on myself or my hospital because my hope is that people will have the courage and courtesy to address concerns directly to me and the positive comments, although I am incredibly grateful for, should be part of my doing my job the way I'm supposed to. You have chosen, though, to comment on my family and I cannot let that go unnoticed. If I happen to see a client with my child present, and I have done this, it is to accommodate a special request of the client with regards to scheduling time or an urgency for the patient because of their condition at a time that I am not normally on the schedule. I have also occasionally seen an office call, while in the hospital checking one of my urgent/continued care patients, or for another doctor who is running behind. I'm sorry my extending myself was difficult for you. I have sacrificed alot personally in the 9 years that I've owned this practice, but "dogo222" there are some things people can not have. I will continue to stay committed to exceptional patient and client care and I will balance that with my love and care for my family. I will need to learn to disregard the occasional insensitive comment of someone unable to recognize a sacrifice made on their or their pet's behalf. I will not let the sting of someone's insensitive ingratitude deter me from extending kindness and commitment. That is who I want my child to see me for; I'm proud of that. And, by the way, I have the world's best nanny! Dr. Patti Kuzmickas
