Sooooooo, I am being told by the representatives at the 1-800-772-1213 center, that I have to call the same people that I am complaining about(at the social security office at the lake's at 610 in Houston tx) and complain to them for not only, not doing their job right but also for discriminating against me by denying me entrance, stating that my walking stick, to them, is considered a weapon. Even though Title 18 Crimes and Criminal Procedure 930.g(2) states... The term " dangerous weapon " means a weapon, device, instrument, material, or substance, animate or inanimate, that is used for, or is readily capable of, causing death or serious bodily injury, except that such term does not include a pocket knife with a blade of less than 2 1/2 inches in length. Mrs. Cook and the others at that locating claims that they have the authority to determine what is considered a weapon. Even though, the prosecutor, in the court of law, based on the laws, could not punish me or hold me for no such law. This is considered defamation of character, false accusations, slander, violating my civil rights, discrimination against a disabled person.... OOOH.....not to mention, they have been working on my sons back pay since June 7,2017, in which mrs. Cook instructed me that as soon as I open a bank account for my son, then they could release his back pay. And then she tells me that they were not going to release it in one lump sum because it is to much to release at one time (I believe the back pay is less than $6,500.00) but they would release it in payments six months at a time, as they seem fit..... since when do these people have this much control over our money and our lives. I know that they don't treat white people like this.

I am impressed! Tambra is amazing, kind and very informative. The only attorney I have spoken to that listens and cares. She answered my questions honestly and took the time to explain the laws.
Went into this office for a name change on my security card. After researching the requirements, I brought in my proofs of identification; birth certificate, s. s. card, insurance card, drivers license plus marriage certificate. I waited in line for 2 hrs & 45 min., only to be told that I didn't have enough proof of identification. We home & called the main office & explained what happened & they said my proof of identification was sufficient & that my request should have been granted. They apologized for this office & said that they did not know why this office turned me away. I don't even want to give this office a rating, because they sent me away even though I had appropriate documentation
Mrs. Vega is the best. I too was nervous, but she was patient, knowledgeable an patient. Thank you so much.
I was nervous when I arrived about 8:20 am and the line was around the building. I needed a replacement card and believe it or not, I walked out of there with a letter and everything I needed at 9:11 am. The.Same.Day. Amazing people. The trick is that they come out about quarter to nine and divide people into groups by what you are coming in for. I was amazed. Everyone was nice and very helpful. So, don't be dismayed when you see the long line.
