Clint has performed maintenance and repair as well as new construction for barge and ship docks on the Houston Ship Channel and surrounding plants along the Galveston Bay and Port Arthur areas in the Marine Construction Industry for 4yrs. Demolition
The scope of work included the demolition of the existing taxiway and total reconstruction of a new taxiway within the Airside (secured) area of Dallas Love Field airport in Dallas, Texas. In total, TSC removed and replaced 68,850 SY of taxiway PCCP (18″ thick), which included subgrade prep, aggregate base course, and asphalt base course placement. TSC was also required to install new lighting, drainage, signage and pavement markings. All work was performed on a secure, air-side facility with rigorous controls. As construction was ongoing, TSC regularly met with Airport Operations and Owner personnel to review the three-week look ahead schedules. This helped identify potential issues and achieve solid coordination while avoiding negative impacts to budget and/or schedule. TSC was able to achieve the project schedule and performance goals while their paving plans, construction methods, and coordination eliminated adverse impacts to traveling aircraft and airport operations while maintaining security at this major airport.

Landscaping and Fencing

Landscaping
The Conrad Sauer Detention Facility and Mathewson Lane Improvements project will provide additional east-west mobility in the area. This project will also increase capacity in the Conrad Sauer detention basin as well as develop the basin into a park space, with walking and cycling pathways, landscaping, wet bottom, a grassy park area for overflow and overlooks to watch aquatic wildlife. Spring Branch will have a central meeting space in which to gather and celebrate as a community.
Fencing
TSC received a notice to proceed in October of 2013 for this Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCP) project. Upon establishing erosion control measures and completing clearing of trees and brush, several removals were required for the improvement including mid to large diameter storm drainage pipe and structures, sanitary sewer, cast iron and ductile iron pipe, asphalt and concrete pavement, railroad tracks and fencing.
Gate Replacement/Installation
Excavation
The project required 110,000 CY of excavation during the two phases of construction. TSC collaborated with the Port of Houston to identify, quantify and create environmental mitigation plans for contaminated soils that occurred on the site. Once the existing soil was tested and analyzed, approximately 14,000 tons of contaminated earth was removed from the site.
Retaining Walls
Similar to the level of effort envisioned for the IAH effort, the project required major utility coordination relocations, complex sequencing of construction and MOT plans, 141,451 CY of concrete paving, and also included extensive reconstruction of drainage systems, 320,000 SF of retaining walls, 162,000 TNs of asphalt, and 1,537,000 CY of the embankment. The team coordinated extensively with multiple stakeholders including the CTRMA, TxDOT’s Design and Bridge Divisions, the Austin District, FHWA, Travis County, the Cities of Austin and Manor, the Manor ISO, multiple businesses and 20 utility providers for the complex relocation of utilities.
Walkways
The project scope includes 4000 LF of oversized deep storm sewer concrete box, 900 LF of steel elevated walkways with ornamental handrail and composite decking, 8000 SF of elevated concrete slab and 32,000 SF of tiered radial retaining walls, 12,000 SF of the reinforced concrete bridge deck and ornamental slopped planting in the basin with water features.
