We order from here about three times a year. The food is very authentic. The staff are polite and very friendly. I recommend this restaurant to all.
The best Mexican food hands-down and is very authentic I go there all the time. Great place to go very friendly!!
Highly recommended! The food is amazing and authentic. It's a small little restaurant where the owners, Art and Elsa, will come out and chit chat with you, and they are wonderful people! So genuinely kind and funny, I would go just to see them! Because everything is cooked fresh, Elsa can make you anything on the menu how you like it. I'm a vegetarian and she gave me a long list of what she can change for me and she can "put vegetables on anything." Very accomodating! They want to make their customers happy. It is a small place that could definitely use some love and updates, but I urge you to look past that! Don't judge by how it looks. Since the Amigo's in Taylor is closing, I had to find a new place and this will for sure be it! Can't wait to go back.Oh, and they have horchata ;)
I ordered some things that was delivered and they forgot the chips and salsa in my order and i decided to go in person to get my chips and salsa since i was in the area which i did pay for and never got and was told to ask for them on my next order and when i did this in person i was all but flat out called a liar and wouldn't give me the chips and salsa i was promised, i will not be ordering from these guys anymore.
After reading all the other reviews here, I decided to check this place out for myself. I wish you could rate based on food and service seperately. I would give the service 5 stars, and the food a 1 or 2. I was barely in my seat when I was served with chips and salsa. Immediately after the chips came, the waitress was at my table with a bowl of potato soup (it comes free with lunch on weekdays). The potato soup was excellent, and I was hopeful that the whole meal would be as good. But then I got to the chips. They were way too thick for my liking, almost as thick as a saltine cracker. The salsa (and I use the term loosely) was more of a runny red liquid...I found 2 little chunks of tomato in it. The flavor of the chips/salsa wasn't too bad, but not great either. I ordered the chicken enchiladas because the menu says they are "generously topped with melted cheese and homemade sauce". I guess their idea of generous and mine are two different things. There was maybe a tablespoon of cheese on each enchilada and by the time I got to the second one, there was not a drop of sauce left on the plate. That was really a shame, because you needed the sauce to dip the oh-so-dry chicken in....so I had to pour on some of the (red liquid)salsa so I could finish them. As someone else mentioned, the refried beans obviously came from a can...and sadly, they were the best part of the meal, aside from the soup (which wasn't Mexican). This is one place I'll never return to. Oh and one more thing...be careful if you use the salt!! I was going to sprinkle a little salt in the salsa and a TON of it came out all at once!
Food is always awesome. It's so cool they deliver with 40 min and the food is piping hot.
