My son is an active boy. The schools expectations for 2 and 3 year olds are not realistic. My sons behavior was developmentally appropriate and staff used derragatory harsh words as “malicious” and “destructive” to describe his behavior. They never had any positive statements to say about him. This in itself is detrimental to a child’s self esteem and overall school experience. As a school social worker, I teach and work with both of my children. My sons developmental rate was not a good match for this rigorous program. The staff was rude and insensitive and mistreated my son!! I would never recommend this school to anyone!! The school population is 99% African American and staff is 99% Caucasian. This ratio and experience I had further supports the data and studies on race and discipline in schools. The historical narrative often depicts black males as violent, anti-intellectual, and resistant to authority. Well these narratives start as early as 2 years old with Early Impressions. Developmentally appropriate behavior should be treated as such and not as if a child is a criminal. I wouldn’t give Early Impressions a dime of my hard earned money. My husband and I paid $2000 a month for our children’s early childhood education. They received over $20,000 dollars from my family during the time my kids went there. They do not address social emotional learning in the manner that it is supposed to be addressed with these young toddlers!!!

Great place for your children. My son has been in in a Joyful Noise for one year and I has had nothing but delightful experiences to date. Best place away from home for my toddler. He loves it!
My child is the most important person in my life. How she learn, where behavior is being modeled and her environment is very important to our family. FKS may have a great facility but, the administration professional and communication skills the school lacks. All staff is not Montessori instructors. We choose to have a Montessori school who is established and have the same principles, learn the child's personality, strongly focus on math, reading and challenge the child to volumize their great potential. From our experience, management is fairly new (approx. 3yrs), lack professionalism and need more practice before I grade this school as exemplary. This review is not based on one experiences, but yet many disappointments and other parent views.
I grew up going to Sunrise Child Care and now I have my Master Degree in Social Work and I know that Sunrise played a big part in my education I had wonderful and caring teachers I loved them and Ms. Banaz I am now pregnant with my first child and preserved a spot in the infant room I'm so glad that Sunrise has been open for 25 years I hope that she stays in business for another 25 years
My son has a fractured leg and no one at this facility can tell me how it happened. When I reported this incident to the state my children were terminated from the program. They refuse to release my children's belongings. The Director is a Liar and the staff. Please do not send your children there. I'm in process of filling a lawsuit now
I had all 4 of my children in sunrise. 2 are in school now which sunrise prepared them for and the last 2 are still in attendance. They love the teachers, the fitness program, and the story time. All of the staff are Great. They always greet the parents and always have a full report of my children day who never want to leave at pick up. I love the clean and safe environment. The director is Great she will work with you and your needs for your family, she is very caring, patient, kind and loves the children. The staff assisted me with potting my last two children my daughter at the age of 1 new her colors, shapes, alphabets and at 2 she knew how to recognize her name. I always recommend sunrise to all my friends and family.
My twins have been attending tomorrow's stars for two years now. The owner, director, manager, and staff are extremely friendly and loving. The center is clean and the staff always greets us with a smile on their faces. The owner gives out her personal number in case of any concerns! Ms. Mary in the toddler room is amazing. She helped us pottery train our children. They do follow their motto of safety first and education second! We witnessed someone stopped at the entrance, I'd, and refused a child because their name was not on the child's release list. Our children have learned so much since attending. I love how the preschoolers have a French and dance teacher. The prices are very reasonable! We are so sad that we have to relocate to another state! I highly recommend anyone to take their children there. If you want to enroll your child for care make sure to call a head of time! They have a wait list and it took us a month before we were able to enroll our children.
This is by far the worst childcare facility my child has been in! My son was hurt in their care, and they didn't tell me until I picked him up. He was crying and no one could tell me what had happened. I contacted the State department regarding the incident. The next week, my son was kicked out. No explanation giving. STAY AWAY FROM HERE, IF YOU LOVE YOUR CHILD(REN)!
If I could give zero stars I would! I try to be an understanding person, especially when dealing with a toddler (21 months) with special needs, but the events that have occurred within the last month are unacceptable and because of it this "day care" will be reported! This first incident occurred when the workers claimed to have changed her diaper at 3:00 (their reporting) but upon changing her diaper at 3:30 my child had larger open sores on her bottom! The workers claimed that nothing was there at 3:00 and that it must have developed on the car ride home. The second incident occurred when I picked her up and her shirt was wet. Again the workers claimed that she must have spilled milk on herself but she did not smell like milk. Strange. This last incident was the final straw. TODAY THEY ACTUALLY LOST HER! I CAME TO PICK HER UP AND THEY COULD NOT FIND HER! THEY WERE NOT WATCHING HER AND SHE WALKED TO THE BATHROOM, CLOSED THE DOOR AND WAS FOUND BY ME PLAYING IN THE TOILET!!!! They have been reported! And I will be following up with how this is handled! If you value the safety of your child DO NOT waste your time with this "business" find somewhere else to go!! I will write another review once action from the state has been taken!
This Maternal Infant Program stands out amongst the rest, truely caring and very helpful ! They helped me with EVERYTHING! And I mean EVERYTHING, baby supplies, transportation, they took the time out to really teach me about breastfeeding and my baby developing how he is supposed to. I would refer any pregnant woman in need and moms with little babies. This is a Great Company
