This place is really good. John is very knowledgeable and patient. Well, he had to be patient dealing with my high octane personality. He listened to my description of my problems and provided different options that would work for me. He was definitely not just trying to sell me something expensive.

I tried the generic arch supports by foot solutions. They were good. I wore them for over a year. But this week, I finally got the custom supports and they are perfect. I recommend them to anyone with overpronation issues in their feet.

I feel so much more comfortable. I feel light on my feet, I feel like my posture is now better. I know it's hard to believe, but it actually puts me in a better mood.

I was doubtful about these because of their price. But John explained to me all the benefits of wearing them, waited patiently while I tried the generic supports for a while and when I was ready, he hooked me up with my new custom arch supports.

They're perfect. John is the reason I would recommend this store over other branches.

I am reviewing the Foot Solutions store at 523 North Old Woodward in Birmingham. I bought a pair of MBT shoes there in 2006 and have worn them while working on a concrete floor as a sales associate at Home Depot. They are terrific shoes and every time I lace them up I feel lucky.



This is a good store. John Ingham has run it for over 6 years and is knowledgeable about the shoes he sells. He was very patient during the fitting and helped me make a good decision on what to buy. When the soles wore out after a few years he set me up with a manufacturer-endorsed re-soling operation in Virginia, thus enabling me to get more years out of these shoes. I'm wearing them right now. It's no accident that John was able to survive the recession and keep providing excellent service.
