POSTED : 07/01/2013STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS / SHADE TREE MECHANICS!!!They underbid everyone to get my business and every time i took it back for a concern with the transmission they did another $500 worth of unauthorized work and never called me for prior approval. I just took it back again because the car was still acting up and explained my daughter will be driving to college in the fall and wanted to make sure it was fixed beforehand so she would be safe. They kept the car a week and drove it over 139 miles and tried to up sale me again saying the transmission was fine. On top of it all I asked them for the specifics of the warranty and Darrell store manager replied, did we give a warranty on this work?I know the owner personally and didn’t make a difference. The store manager Darrell is the biggest crook of them all. That’s why they hired him to up sale everyone.I will be filing a BBB complaint and take the car to a more reputable transmission shop.Just found out that they are NOT accredited by the BBB!!!DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!!
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever dellt with my truck had been in a storage lot for over a year and had been broken into anyway I am disabled I have one leg and only. a half a foot I called this aamco and talked to a man named Josh he is in charge I explained the situation to him also I have lost all the keys for the vehicle but I did purchaseed a MRE ignition cylender for the truck after he had the truck towed to his facility he started in on the keys he knew this from the start and fje mess inside truck I brought him down new lock for ignition and trash bags he then said it needed batteries it takes two power stroke well Kmart is right across the street I prefer die hards he said he'd take care of it so I let him about two days later he called and said he couldn't do the job I asked why not because I wouldn't replace the transfer case I said its there for a transmission so he had truck for three more days and I talked to a man named randol he said sure he could do.it so I told him do it well josh took the batteries out and kept my keys so tow truck driver couldn't get truck this was the day before Thanksgiving so the truck DAT there where ever josh wanted I explained that it didn't have plates because being in storage he just. Screamed at me so after the holiday I got them to pock up trick after I paid for the tow which was suppose to be free toll josh got mad and the batteries got put back in josh didn't put diehards in it some cheap brand that went dead right away I thought I was done and wrote off my losses with them until last week when I got my mail ah a parking ticket for truck while at aamco josh never said a word and it was past due so it is double $150.00 so after that he won't even face me I went by and hr cowered and wouldn't come talk to.me
A Google User6 years agoThis is a fantastic shop! If you own a Toyota or Lexus and live in the Denver Metro area, this is where you need to bring your vehicle. All they work on is Toyota vehicles. I have been a customer for many years and they are very honest and they do great work.
Horrible shop. Never fixed the transmission and charged 1900$. The trips to resolve and never fixed the trans. Avoid this shop like the plague
I worked with this company for a transmission on one of our trucks. I personally drove the transmission to them with the help of other coworkers. When i first pulled up there attitudes weren't pleasant at all. Our company spent a lot of money to have them fix it. In doing so they ended up messing it up to where we couldn't get it back into the spot correctly. We called multiple times to try and get someone to come help us concidering they were they ones who messed it up when rebuilding it. When they came they had attitudes once again. After weeks of being without our truck we finally had it installed. They knew there could be a problem so they signed out receipt for a warranty. Not even 2 months later it broke down all the way out in Colorado springs. Our drivers were stuck out there and we had to pay a tow truck and also go get the stranded coworkers. Our customers were devastated. How do you tell your customer that your stuff and truck is stranded in Colorado Springs? We took a huge hit for this. We then contacted this company to honor their warranty they signed agreeing to and they didnt. They still will not honor it and our truck is still down simply because of the transmission. We have lost so so so much money because of this. I don't usually like to write things like this but it is the truth and has effected not only me, but the company I work for, their families, and our customers. Everyone beware. I would not want anyone to break down and feel stranded and not even have someone keep to the word when the mistake was theirs to begin with. We weren't asking for refunds or reimbursement for all the money we have lost. Just to simply fix the issue that they created to begin with. If I were you, I would look for a different company with morals and values and also know how to do the job that they were paid to do.
Our company used them to replace one of our transmissions. When a couple of guys went to get the transmission one of the employees had dropped our new transmission before they even got it off the lot. After a few months the transmission started to lock up and then would not shift into anything other than first and reverse. We contacted them to have them warranty the transmission but they said they would not uphold their end and still have not do not use them.
We used these guys to get us a new transmission for one of our trucks, a few months passed and everything was fine then the transmission started to have a few problems and the transmission wouldnt go into any gear higher than the first gear. We have been working to have our warrenty renewed and they have been fighting us and still havent helped us with this. Do not do any work with these guys.
What a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! these CROOKS lured us in with the promises of low cost and good work. They LIED from the start. Charged over TWICE the bid and took 3 weeks to do a fix that DIDNT LAST 2 MONTHS. WILL NOT FIX IT OR HONOR THE WARRANTY at all. Go somewhere else.
This place was terrible they lied from the start the underbid the job wound up charging over $2500 for a job the bid at $1200 in just over 30 days the transmission died again and they have since refused to live up to their warranty and blown us off for over two months. avoid this place at all costs.
