Founded in 1988, the community has more than 140 apartments with over 10 styles of floor plans, including a studio and two-bedroom deluxe apartments. The apartments are equipped with an emergency call system. It has a 37-bed Medicare-certified skilled nursing facility that provides recuperative and long-term care and therapy services. Its amenities include a dining room, auditorium, library, beauty shop, lounge, arts and crafts room and country store. The community also has billiards, conference, garden, card and exercise rooms. Pomperaug Woods is managed by Life Care Services.
