I am a Sportsmans Guide Buyers Club member and I have been buying from Sportsmans Guide for at least the last 26 years. I have been checking with your customer service staff for many months now attempting to ascertain when you company will have the marlin 1895 GBL rifle in stock. The staff have told me to keep checking. I have asked when is this model going to be in stock again and I am told by service staff that there are no details as to when it will be available again, but they assure me that it dosnt mean that it will not be in stock later. I have made an effort on my end to be patient. Customer service should have information for the customer on the availability of the product in question. Why you would have your customer service people Sportsmans Guide customer service associates are guessing as to product availability is just unacceptable. The purchase a firearm is a high dollar purchase and you would think that Sportsmans Guide customer service would consider it a priority. Customer Service has so far been a disappointment. I tried one last time to get an answer from Sportsmans Guide customer service as to when the product will be in stock and I was told that the product is from a third party supplier and the third party suppier was told by the manufacturer "any day now". WHAT A SCAM!
Don't ever try to do a return with this company, they will completely mess it up.Ordered boots online for my husband,in his regular size.When arrived,were too small.We paid to return them in the mail,stating would be a RETURN.Same day bought/paid online a 2nd pair in a larger size,received a few days later.Few days later,they send a confirmation email stating they had received the 1st pair we'd mailed back.And they processed it(incorrectly)as an exchange, not a return, and sent us an email stating they were sending us a 3rd pair of boots in the mail. We called to tell them not to ship-we'd already received our correct size.Could they refund our second charge of $69.99 plus shipping since they'd received the 1st pair? No way.They said they would not refund our second $69.99 charge until they received the(mistakenly shipped 3rd pair)boots in the mail.We argued they'd already received 1st pair-they said-the 3rd pair-until those were received they would not refund our money.Totally unfair!
almost the same thing happened to me that happened to dancsm placed an order in jan received two back order notices never heard anymore from them and called them last week to see what was going on with my order they told me my order had been cancelled in july because i never responded to a letter or an email that they sent out i had never received anything in the mail in june when they said they sent it had saved all my emails from them on this matter double checked everything they hadnt sent me either of the two notifications customer service rep was sarcastic snotty and continually talked over me when i was trying to speak with him very very very unhappy about waiting for an order for 9 months and getting nothing
I placed an order in January 2013, the item was placed on back order and I had to tell them, yes I wanted to keep the order. this happened again and I responded, Yes I want to keep the order. I was on line and looked to see the status and found it was cancelled. I spoke with them via e-mail and said I did not respond, so I sent them the e-mail showing they responded and placed it on back order. They then said told me to put it back on order once it was available for order, after waiting 5 months for the item, they admitted it was their fault but would not place my order back on back order. They sent me a $10 coupon code, I cancelled my membership. If this is the way they treat Disabled Veterans, I don't need them. I recommend you never shop with these people. they don't care if you get what you ordered, even when they make the mistake.

It's a great place. Especially if you're into Airsoft, Paintball, Hunting, Fishing, Camping... Anything outdoors really. It's mostly a catalogue order agency, but they have some nifty stuff inside the actual walk in store as well. The only downside is that the walk in has a vastly more limited stock, selection and general supply.
They ship quickly. The membership is a great deal IF you plan on either A shopping their often or B buying over $300 in one go. If you do, you'll get 10% off the order the membership is attached to so you essentially get it for free or get more for less. That's how I found out.
They carry everything from car parts, to ammunition (wow... LOTS of ammunition), tents, sleeping bags, shoes, clothes, both utility and fashion on both counts... Crossbows, bolts, jerkey ovens, security systems, game cameras... Seriously, punch in a search on their website and you'll see what I mean.
I've found only two real downsides.
1: The more you sift through their stuff, the more money you want to blow... So, come prepared to spend a lot.
2: If you call in to make your order, the phone sales staff can seem kinda pushy with the ""add ons"" and ""Cross Sales""... After getting frustrated I had a chat with somebody who explained that they actually have to pitch that stuff. I kinda felt bad... But I chose to give the guy a break and ended up getting a really good deal on batteries for the kindness...lol

SCAM! They get you to sign up for the club for $30. It sounds like a good deal because you get an immediate discount, but THEN they restrict your purchase so that the only thing you can buy is the $30 club membership. The customer service lady laughed at me and said that they restricted the shipment so that they could collect $30 for doing nothing! I am calling my bank as I write this.
