I have been taking my 2 GSD's to Animal House Kennel... To begin with, the manager is very intimidating and NOT a people person at ALL!!
2) The 1st time that my Male GSD came home with laryngitis, I made a mental note for the next time...
So, the next time came and he again came home with laryngitis!! I called and talked with Sarah... I asked if he was barking the entire time at which she said, No, he's actually very Quiet, the female is definitely barking more.
At the same time, I noticed that the dog's both come home very, very thirsty and between the both of them, can clear the bowl of water if I don't stop them. Having said this, the male hardly drinks that amount of water...so, again I made a mental note, along with the fact that they come home very skinny after every visit!!
I tend to be a strong personality, so I watch and observe instead of being reactive... My dogs were scheduled to go back on Jan 12 but, I suddenly got a feeling that I needed to have my concerns addressed... I reached out to Sarah and Expressed my concerns, as she appeared to be a sensible Lady... About 4 hours later, I received a call from the manager at the kennel, who basically said, that she had received a text from Sarah telling her that I accused them of not feeding my dogs and that I was no longer welcome to take my dogs back!! And, she very rudely hung up the phone... No questions asked!! Bamm...
It was a good thing to have my gut feeings confirmed, that we were NOT Allowed to ask questions or the Kennel Nazi Lady would rear her ugly face!! There was no reassurance that my dogs were being taken care of and that perhaps it was due to stress, (which is what I expected to hear), there was Never any putting my mind at ease, that my dogs are doing good, it became ALL about them and "How dare you accuse US!!" It was just a question: are they getting all of their food?? Are they eating all of their food? When did this became about you, the employee??
It was the best thing that ever happened to me, to be kicked out of this Horrible place!! If she treats the customer like this... How is she treating the animals!! Not to mention, that she looks so miserable sitting behind her desk!!

When we picked our dog up after boarding for 11 days she was sick with a cough and diarhea (she is fully immunized and we sent her own food). The kennel also lost her retractable leash and was unwilling to take any responsibility. When I called to discuss the above issues the owner called me a liar and hung the phone up. When I called back she hung the phone up again. She was so unprofessional I can only imagine the rest of way her business is run. I will be taking my dog to the vet later today--adding additonal costs to this bad experience.
