The last time my wife and I ate here was in 2006. As a New Jersey born (City Slicker) we moved to Texas in 2004 in search for a better life. And during our journey we stumbled upon Manny Hattan's with an empty stomach and high hopes for some good food. We were not disappointed. As a matter of fact we loved the food and the atmosphere so much that we made it a road trip from our home in Killeen just to have lunch. I don't remember the food we ordered but I do recall the experience was well worth the ride. Since 2007, we have relocated back to the East Coast and to my surprise, I am saddened to learn that Manny Hattan's has closed. Even for the short few years we lived in Texas this establishment was and will always be the topic of our discussion when it comes to good food. Texas has really made an impression on this city boy!
Taco Deli has stolen the ""Best Taco in Texas"" award from me once again. The Mojo Tilapia taco was life changing, especially with the special yoda colored hot sauce drizzled all over it. I also took a shot of the spicy habanero sauce... careful with that one. The staff was well prepared for the…
The Service is great and the beer and barbeque are even better. A must for tourists and Austinites alike. Try the turkey and macaroni!!! This place seems to be slow now but tell your friends and lets make it a hot spot!!! Great location too.
I've been to this location for lunch on many occasions and have never had any issues. Even when it is busy, they usually have 5 or more people to make the lines go quickly. Their service has always been fast and friendly. The Broccoli Cheese soup is also really good here. :-)
Phoenicia bakery offers a great lunch menu and numerous ethnic grocery items. It is worth a special trip to buy their pita bread fresh for home use. Their pita can not be beat!! The stuff available in local grocery stores tastes like rubber compared to the pita available here fresh!!

This is one of my favorite Sand-which Shops in Austin. I would say it is my number one depending on the type of sand-which I am wanting. \r \r If you have the time to go down Speedway around 31st street, you will find this random sand-which shop next to a convenient store. Its a very tiny shop b…
27. Wheatsville Coop
I have trusted this store for about 20 years for almost all of my purchases. Wheatsville provides bulk items (reduced packaging!); a bulk producer has resisted continuing supplying Wheatsville - namely, Avalon, a company that is to be criticized for their money-hungry action. This company shoul…
29. Dilly Deli
1401 Cedar AveAustin, TX 78702
From Business: Dilly Deli is a neighborhood eatery located on the east side of downtown Austin Texas. Dilly Deli serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Sandwiches highlight the lunch menu, while our smoked meats are the centerpiece of dinner. All food is prepared fresh to order, from items made in house from sctrach.
The service at this diner is atrocious. We order two sandwiches, a coke, and a coffee. After 20 minutes--nothing. Had to ask for our coffee. No apology. Ten minutes later was told they did not have the sandwich we ordered Gave a refund but we had to chase that down as well. Avoid!!
This place is so delicious! I had no idea that pastrami this was good was in Austin!
