4. Shady Grove
I really love this place! It's a cute restaurant with a great location, huge parking in the back. Sometimes there is a little bit of a wait, but the outside environment is really nice. They have some awesome burgers and the food overall is really delicious!
I am so excited we are about to live right across the lake from this place. We had brunch there for the first time Sunday and absolutely loved it. While it's $25/person, they food choices are excellent for a brunch with both a buffet and unlimited ordering off a set menu with several kinds of …
7. The Highball
This is a great place to do something different with co-workers, family or your friends! First we had appetizers and drinks while bowling which was fun. After this, we went to one of the private Karaoke rooms and had a great time singing! They have a list of over 17,000 songs to choose from! …
Get health with daily juice because it is a very healthy place. They have gone, where no restaurant has gone before. This place has changed my life; I can only image this place growing like its product. GIVE IT A TRY
10. Green Mesquite
BBQ wise, I love their meat. Ribs are awesome, so is the ham, turkey, and sausage. They don't have the mac n cheese or corn bread here like at other locations, so that stinks a lot. Hard to find parking sometimes as well. Great BBQ overall though and reasonable prices. Definitely worth trying.
My introduction was a few years ago at a wedding reception, a bbq buffet with the staff in black tie, and real china. Since I started this practice in Austin we started using the Brodie Oaks store I was impressed when I met the two white bearded managers Sam and Don and one of the owners, a TRUE…
Before you order at the counter... Walk around all the coolers and pick something good to drink first.Pick up the paper menu: more food options that just the board over the counter: I like the double burger with cheese, no need for much else IMHO

From Business: In 2002, the Austin City Limits Music Festival contacted Hudson's owner Chef Jeff Blank to help them spearhead their efforts to entice local restaurants to join the festival's food court. Their goal was to create festival food that would emulate the unique heritage of Austin cuisine. The result is The Mighty Cone - the off…
My wife and I went to Matt's El Rancho for a date night. Our waitress was fantastic. We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. The menu was extensive, prices were reasonable, and food was delicious. We look forward to going back soon!
24. Kerbey Lane Cafe
The Raspberry Pancakes (only available on some days) are the best pancakes in the entire world. This is a verified true fact. The only thing better than these pancakes is the joyful laughter of small children and world peace.

26. Thistle Cafe
Thistle is hands down my favorite lunch spot in dtown Austin. the food is amazing and they have great variety. It gets crowded for lunch and sometimes feels understaffed but besides that it is perfect. I would go there every day if I could. They also serve great bfast tacos and starbucks in the …
I live in S Austin and go to Erie Bean at least a couple times each week. The coffee is good and less expensive than all the chain places (e.g. Starbucks). The staff is friendly but more important they are genuine - the owners even work the coffee bar certain times. They also have free live m…
Before I came to Austin I did not like wings. Pluckers has changed this for me in a big way! Definitely try the Buffalo Medium and the Bakers Gold, both are awesome. Their Macaroni is pretty good too!\r Wednesday night is the best night to go, but show up early!
Quick, amazing service and even if there does seem to be a lot of people waiting, it goes super fast because of the size of the sheer restaurant (main area, covered patio area, another small building attached).
So freakin' good. They have me spoiled and comparing every taco shop in Austin to their deliciousness. Highly recommend taking a trip to east Austin for some breakfast tacos. It's worth the drive. This place moves tacos like no other. You'll understand why once you take your first bite. I'm in love! Keep making Austin proud.
Juan in a Million is one of those great places you visit on any trip to Austin, especially that breakfast taco. Come in early and you won't have to wait in line or struggle with parking around the neighborhood. For low prices, great Tex-Mex, there is nothing that could go wrong!
Order the horchata, it was the biggest serving I've ever had and one of the better horchatas I've found in the states. The mahacado con huevo is a must, my friend ordered chorizo and it tasted like chorizo, my dish tasted unlike anything I've ever had before. Will definitely comeback!!
Kerby Lane is a great representation of the Austin culture. The ambiance is very homely and hospitable and the seasonal menu's are unbeatable.
Loved my first experience here! I came here with a visiting friend to get some queso with dinner, and it did not disappoint. We both fell in love with the Kerbey Queso - it had just right amount of thickness to it and mixed wonderfully with the guac. It was also served with salsa, and eating the chips with both the queso and salsa together was magic. We both have been dreaming about the queso ever since.
Delicious and cheap food and drink! Highly suggest it. $1 mimosas, does it get better than that? Yes, their chilaquiles are amazing!
Breakfast tacos lived up to all expectations - and served all day, hooray! It's no wonder you see them coming out of the kitchen in droves. Will definitely recommend this to my friends!!
What a disappointment. They were out of two drinks we tried to order, the waitress forgot to place half our food order with the kitchen, and we had to pay 20% gratuity because we had a party of 6. Will never go back, don't recommend you do either.
