Everything was great before we arrived. They were very nice & friendly & allowed us to check in early. However, once we found the disaster of a house they rented us, things changed. The house is in need of some major TLC. We had a list of problems, including broken glass & ski poles in the bushes in the front of the house, finding someones shorts & underwear under a bed, a ski pole holding up one of the blinds, stained towels & worst of all MICE! This is just some of the problems we had. I called approx. 5 times within the first 2 hours of being there. The person I spoke to was nice & seemed concerned, & said she would send the cleaning/maintenance person to come help us. They didn't have any answers to our problems, just "ask the guy when he gets there". The last time I called was after hours. I spoke to the answering service who transferred me to Dan. He was EXTREMELY RUDE. Yelled at me. Said I could get a full refund if I didn't want to stay, but he was sending the maintenance guy (which took over an hour & he had to come twice). When I told Dan about the AC not working, he just said "there is no AC. No houses in Tahoe have AC". Ok, well, Dan, we're tourists. We don't know these things. I told him he could at least post a sign saying "Heat Only" or "No AC" - just as an FYI for people, & he said "I didn't realize I needed to". We are supposed to be your guests. Show a little courtesy. The entire 2-3 minutes I had him on the phone he was yelling. So unprofessional & just plain rude.We caught 3 mice within 30-45 minutes. They refunded us for 2 nights we didn't stay, but nothing for the 1st. When I mentioned the stained towels, she said "just because they're stained, doesn't mean they aren't clean". I asked if they could at least give us a discount for all the trouble we had & she said they would think about it. I haven't received anything extra as of now & its been a week. They were completely unsympathetic to what happened to us & what we had to deal with.

I owned a 4/plex in South Lake Tahoe and just recently sold it; I lived in one and hired Tahoe-Rents Inc. to rent the remaining three out. I have been there for 22 years and know all the bad renters, who are 95% of renters.I have read all of the reviews and feel compelled to set some reviews, which I have read, in their place.The owner and the rental management company are team players, the owner has to participate and if they find any problems then they should confront the Management Company and work together to resolve these issues. I found that the Tahoe-Rents Inc. was willing to listen to me and I took her advice to correct my concerns. After 22 years and three other bad Rental Management Company’s, Tahoe-Rents Inc. are truly the best. Good Luck in running your business and don’t forget to participate.
Do not use this company to manage your property.--especially if you have any concerns at all about maintaining curb appeal and the good condition of the unit. These folks don't have a clue. Keys were lost several times, tenants were allowed to grow pot in the house and change the locks, and the yard was virtually destroyed. We've moved on. Suggest you look elsewhere also.
Horrible. Do not do business with this company, they take very old listings and put them up and will not contact you after you contact them, they just want your money and debit card info. Best bet? Go to the rental agencies themselves here in town, save your money too. I had to change my debit card and contact Life Lock!!!!!!!!! SCAMMERS!!!!
I own a multi family building in Tahoe. I had a different management company. They did a terrible job. I then tried to do it myself which was too hard because I don't live in Tahoe. In desperation I reached out to Tahoe-rents. They took right over last week. They already have one of the units rented. I could not be more pleased
This company actually cares about its tenants! The office staff is very friendly and the maintenance crew was pleasant to deal with. They actually called me to follow up how everything was going after I moved in. One of the best companies I've rented from!
No way to vote nothing in rating. SLUM LOARDS.Disgustung Severe Roach Problem and owners need to have building condemned. Not Safe for human habitation. Management should lose their licensing.
Don't rent from this company- it's a joke.. The women @ the office is RUDE and the maintenance man has very poor Customer Service skills.. Since when can a maintenance man scream and use profanity toward a client and the lady at the rejtal office respond to a complaint saying and I quote.." what do you want me to do about it" .. if yoi want poor service when something breaks in your apartment and have someone not take care of it and on top of it yell at you for bringing it to there attention.. then this is the place for you-
These people really care about getting it right. Great place with lake views and within my budget. Tons of info for me when I checked in as well.
