I am a contractor and have been for a long time and I rented a dump trailer from Diamond R. only to find out after loading it full of dirt, that it was broken. I called to see about having a technician come fix it and was told that he was too busy fixing other broken equipment and couldn't make it until after the holiday weekend (3 days later) and asked me if I had tools and could fix it myself. Ridiculous! I couldn't wait since I had also rented a skid loader and mini-ex to take care of this large weekend project, so I asked if I could come pick up a different trailer. They agreed, but only had a small trailer available, so while my 2 man crew and equipment sat idle, I spent another hour and a half going back to pick up another trailer. Needless to say, thanks to hours of delay and having to use a small trailer to do the job, the project did not get completed, requiring me to extend my other rental equipment costing me hundreds of dollars extra for equipment and labor. To top it all off when I took the trailer back they wanted me to go back to my job-site (40 min. drive one-way) and pick up the broken trailer and bring it back to them. I couldn't believe it, I was even talking with the manager and he has no clue what customer service means. He was irritated and tried to make me feel guilty about not making a 4th trip to his store. I have had similar problems with this group in the past and normally won't use them, but because my usual store (Howe Rents) is closed on Saturdays, I had no choice to go back here - all the while knowing it would be a fiasco as usual. My advice is to avoid Diamond Rental if at all possible.
