Review 6I am a student of Wujiquan at the Wujido Institute. The training is Unique and not like other martial arts to my knowledge, very demanding. I am convinced that Wujiquan is far superior to other martial arts for me. The techniques I am taught are very powerful. It is difficult to describe how that is. I think I can understand why Dr Harkins screens a student before allowing that person to study Wujidquan under him. Luckily a person can join the Wujido and train while the candidate is observed for good character, integrity, and sincerity along with an ability to sustain effort over a long period of time. He considers it very important to protect the lineage for the future from being corrupted.Mark

10. I M D Karate
The instructor is a very good business man. However, he is not a good instructor. Lot of chaos in the class. Kids playing around. I see kids in blackbelts. Too bad. He has a nice school. I would recommend some of the karate instrucors in the area rec centers. Lot cheaper and better quality.
I signed my son up because he was having a hard time focusing. The instuctors are really good with making the kids follow directions and focus on what they are doing. They also teach them about respect, responsibility and accountability which I love.. I would recommend anyone looking for help w…
13. Team Trinity
We were at Trinity for almost a year. Team members and other parents were cool and my child learned quite a bit. We had to leave this gym and find one closer to our house. The coach started to seek us out to bully and belittle us for leaving and making fun of our (7 year old!) child on Facebook.…

From Business: Its prime philosophy is to disseminate knowledge SO it CAN BE fostered and shared. OUR philosophy is to pass the right values to OUR students for them to understand the essence of martial arts.
This school/gym is great, its a family oriented business. Not to mention you cannot beat the price for all the classes and training you will receive here. Its very technical and ran very professional. My kids and friends attend have attended here off on the last 4 years and I recommend this to a…
If you don't know who Carlos Machado is, then google it. Great Jiu-Jitsu school! My son has been there for 17 months. He started when he was nine and has progressed into a very talented BJJ practitioner. What's crazy is how mature he has become. On numerous occasions I have watched him allow lower belt students work on him and actually let the lower belt students tap him out. He makes sure the kids are applying the techniques correctly and doesn't let them get the submissions til they do it properly. There's a sign as you enter the school that says leave your ego at the door. To have a 9, 10, 11 year old understand and practice this is outstanding. Absolutely awesome!!!
Dr Harkins observes me and takes my training at the pace that is best for me. Training at the Wujido is a lot less expensive than people say. Fee simple is the approach at Wujido so there are none of the loss-leader come-ons, add-on purchases and participation fees or frequent promotion fees which no contract schools usually only are around for a few months, maybe a year before they go out of business because they can't pay the rent. I have a 7 year old son who has been training since September. Initially, we enrolled him because he needed help with self-regulation and focusing on a task at a time. The instructors are amazing with the kids! They have patiently worked with my son and have kept high expectaions for him. They have helped him to set goals and find a sense of accountability. I'd recommend this place over any other extra curricular out there!
My daughter has been going here for about 6 months and I can't say enough good things about this place. They really cater to kids, build their self esteem, teach them how to deal with bullies, help them understand goals, and get them physically fit. There are many classes a week and the instructors are fantastic. They also have monthly events and parents night out which is always nice.
One of the more interesting things about training at the Wujido Institute is the teaching style of Master Harkins. He blends in good humor and enjoyable activity with teaching of core principles, theory and practice even historical perspective. People have fun. People are treated with dignity and respect. The environment is disciplined. DAN
The Mann's Martial community is friendly, inclusive, and supportive. Everyone at Mann's is expected to serve as both a student and a teacher, to whatever degree they're able. The classes are very physically and mentally demanding, but you get the feeling right away that everyone else in the school wants to help you learn and succeed.
Attending class at the Wujido I no longer have the daily shoulder and back pain I have experienced most of my adult life. I no longer fear the type of people who would try to physically hurt me or my family. I am proud to be a student of the Wujido Institute. I am grateful to Dr Harkins for how he has helped me in my life.Bennett
I have been training at Mann's Martial Arts since 2011 and I am now a blue belt. Words can't describe how I have woven martial arts into my daily life thanks to Master Mann, the Mann's Martial curriculum/program he has developed, and the students who study/experience it alongside me. The sum is truly greater than all the parts.
“I really love the training; Dr Harkins is compassionate and patient with me….very good teacher. He teaches non-violence, in fact it is part of his 4 pillars; Courage, Compassion, Self-Discipline and Non-Violence. In my experience he embodies these Virtues in all the ways I would ever expect. I think that is a good thing.Phil
