Lakeview Diner Inc

I used to be a regular customer of this diner, however one evening i stopped in for a casual dinner with my family (myself and three children) the meal was its usual non exciting meal. however upon completion of our mean i paid for my meal with my credit card. all seemed well when we left the at around 7pm, their closing time.



the next day i received a call from my bank in reference to charges on my credit card - it seems that after we had left the restraunt, the owner decided to run my credit card again, not once but twice !!



i contacted the owner and she was very rude. i asked her to refund my money she had charged to my credit card - she refused.



i immediately went to the south daytona police department with every intention of filing theft charges on her.



lucky for her the South Daytona PD is kinder to its business owners than it is to its citizens. had i stolen from her i think i would have been locked up immediately - however they did convince her to either refund my money or face theft charges.



faced with these choices, she reluctantly refunded my money.



what is going on - are there no more honest businesses out there ?



i should never have had to go to the police - but if i hadnt she would have kept my money. she tried to rip me off for a total of $160.00 - quite an expensive meal from this dive.



my family and i have never been back since and refuse to step foot in the establishment.



i never recieved an apology from the owner - her intent was malicious.
