My sisters got fitted for their bridesmaid dresses. They didn't have the right size in the right dress so the woman chose a different one to fit them for and said it would work out the same. When getting the dresses, they did not come close to fitting. They were so small we couldn't even zip them. The store was not helpful. Had they properly done measurements to begin with this wouldn't have happened. They should have taken the right dress just the next size up and clipped it back for proper measurements. I am very unhappy with how they treated my sisters. They were not friendly and were hesitant to take the dresses back. We only have a week to take them back and we aren't from around where the store is. Now they have to get major alterations done for everything to fit and it has caused a lot of complications for us and very little time to handle them.
We drove 3 hours to get to this David's Bridal. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and everybody was smiling and friendly. However, as soon as my daughter and I both "said yes" to our dresses (we both got a dress) our sales lady disappeared, so we took pictures and waited for her to return. After about 5-10 minutes we realized she was already helping another bride to be. I was still in the dress so I didn't know if I was supposed to change or stay in it. I decided I would change out of my dress, by myself, and get my clothes back on. We then sat there for another 5 minutes or so. My maid of honor finally went to the gentleman that was out front in the store and told him our sales lady was with someone else. He promptly and professionally re-elected her to finish taking care of us while he helped the other bride to be. Then she filled out our papers and told us to go to the check out. It was like she just wanted sales and didn't care about anything else.

I will never step foot in a David's Bridal store EVER again!!!!!! To start with they sold me items that I did not need to make a sale because they did not have the proper sized strapless bra or specialty bra that I require. So, instead of suggesting that I order what I needed online before selecting my dress, they sold me a size way too big, then sold me a slip to hide the undergarment they sold me. I had the dress altered in the bust area because it puckered under my arms. I didn't realize the puckering was from the undergarment they sold me that did not fit! Then, they took more of my dress down on the sides of the bust (which I did not need anymore material removed). That meant that when I ordered my size 32 H strapless bra that the band showed on the sides. I tried all the bras on the market in my size and none worked. My best advice to you is go to a different place even if it means spending more money. Now I am stuck with a dress that I can't wear on my wedding day. This is my second (and last wedding) and I wanted it special because I did not have a wedding dress or wedding for my first wedding. Thanks to David's Bridal's lack of giving customer service due to the desire of making a sell, I will never have a happy wedding. Instead, I had to spend more money to buy a summer dress at JcPenny's to wear to my wedding that will be an ocean front wedding. I will forever hate this dress store and will never forgive this sorry place to destroying my special day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not big into being a bride or a princess with a tiara. I am big into getting service that I pay for. I hate to go into a store and pay for something and not get the service I've paid for, especially when the store advertises said services. Like David's Bridal advertises they are bridal specialists. For the headache, it was not worth the price savings. This is a very unprofessional establishment that makes poor attempts at professionalism. I do believe many of the workers try their best, some are very friendly and nice, and they genuienly do not want a customer to have a bad experience. From my perspective, the place is poorly managed from the top down (and not just local management, but corporate management strategy is very poor). Bridal consultants are pushed hard by management to get sales. On top of that, if DB is designing their own line, I would think they would have specific recommended accessories for a certain dress. I could ask 3 different bridal consultants which veil or which piece of jewelry I should get with my dress and I would get 3 different answers. There is no consistency or service or the way the consultants are trained or the way the products are offered. I have been there 4 times throughout the entire wedding dress purchase and each time I learn more about why I would not buy there again. It was not a pleasant experience for me. Very frustrating and fake. DB as a company is only in it for the money. They do not care about their customers. If they did, they would treat their own employees better and they would have a business strategy that makes it easy on their customers, not more difficult.
-On one occasion, I witnessed a store worker (aka bridal consultant) getting her one-on-one performance review with her manager at the front desk where I could hear what a bad job she was doing. Then, when I asked about jewelry, her manager sent her to help me. I felt so bad for the girl - not a great way to motivate your staff or make a good impression with your customers.
-The dress was on sale the first time I tried it on, I scheduled an appointment before I left to come back and try it on 3 days later. When I went back, it it was no longer on sale. I asked for the sale price and was told the district manager had to be called but wasn't available that evening and that I could buy the dress and call tomorrow to see if I could get the sale price. No way! Magically, the manager got the District Manager on the phone and I was given the sale price, with much ado.
- I bought a dress off the rack and it had picks in it and the shoulders were streched due to many people trying it on. I had to pay for alterations to fix these things. I took the dress back to DB for alterations only because I thought they would do a good job since the dress is their line and they would have experience altering it. Not so! When I went to try on the dress after alterations there were many things out of wack - it was a shoddy job they were trying pass off (I had paid $270 for a hem, very simple bustle, shoulders taken up an inch...that is all). SEVERAL things had to be re-done. I will spare you the details, just know that it was not pretty. They were re-done quickly, within the day, so that is one thing I can say good about DB.
- On another occasion I witnessed the manager giving a sale in the register to a ""bridal consultant"" who had no hand in helping make the sale at all (they appeard to be buddies).
