My family, friends and I have been going to The Raven for years. Small location but we have never had to wait too long by calling ahead. The service has always been great and the food has always been delicious. I have never seen anything unclean-- it's always been very clean there. They have a w…

I've been a fan of Frenchy's chicken for sometime now and they still have that delicious recipe flavor. Their chicken is better than other fast food chicken restaurant, yes it's pricey, but I love the taste.

One of the best breakfast spots in the country and I'm not just saying that because it's in my hometown. The Katfish & grits is my absolute fave. I've been eating here since they first opened when I was in middle school. I'll always be a loyal customer!

Monarch is just a great restaurant to spend a great dinner at. The service is always spot on & the food is what high end dinning is all about. Finally Houston has a restaurant of the same caliber that you would find in New York or Chicago.

Actually, this is in response to the previous comment from ARIKANMD. You won't believe it but I was there the day all this happened. I was sitting near the front door when you were there. If I remember correctly, you were causing a scene, and already had half the waitstaff looking for your card…

I think they have one of the best burgers in town. It’s a relaxed atmosphere with a patio facing Bagby. The happy hour specials are great way to save money on Mondays and Wednesdays with $1 beers. If your looking for a good deal in Midtown, this is a good place to check out.

I usually come here right after work for happy hour. It's a great place to relax and unwind. Now that the weather has cooled off, I enjoy a some great wine outside on the patio. The patio is HUGE! The last time I went, I shared a delicious cheese plate and some wine with a friend. It was p…

The owners of this establishment deserve all the success. The Midtown scene is very competative, but Saint Dane has been able to cut through the clutter and offer a great place in the heart of the city that offers quality food and drinks at more than reasonable prices. My wife and I had the fish…

We did not have any bad experiences like the other reviewers, but maybe they improved their service since then. We had a really enjoyable meal at the Chelsea Grill. I had the fried chicken, which was very tasty, and my fiancee had the pork chop, which was also very good. We also enjoyed the …

This is definitely the best famliy cooking I have had. Everything is made fresh and seasoned to perfection. Very liberal portion sizes and often leftovers. My favorite place to eat. I can't wait to get back.
1113 Holman StHouston, TX 77004
Boba Cafe recently changed their menu to focus on burgers and other fast-food type offerings. The food is surprisingly tasty, and always made to under - no under-the-lamp stuff here. The staff is extremely friendly every time I've stopped by. The prices are extremely reasonable and competitiv…

Great spot, chill with a great clientele. Chef's food is phenomenal and should be enjoyed on fine china but luckily you get to dine with friends patio style. Hoping they will sign up with Barlive soon. Great iphone app! Direct questions to amy@barliveapp Cheers, Houston!

Eric's is a great place to eat, especially when you are a student and needing a NICE place to eat without leaving the campus. The chicken is amazing, and the service is very friendly. It can be a bit slow, but overall I love it. The price is good, too .

Best burger's on this side of town. Burger basket is a bargain. It comes with french fries, a few tater tots, and a few onion rings. The burger is not a small burger-it's a good size. The basket even includesa bubble gum! How great is that?! Next time I go I will be trying some different.
3004 Canal StHouston, TX 77003
We went here on a recommendation from a friend who had tried their food at a music fest in Houston. \r \r We ordered the elk sausage, lamb and duck. It took about 1.5 hours to get our food which was really no biggie since we weren't starving to death and it was a beautiful night to sit out at …

I would have to say that their prime rib is among the best i've ever eaten. but ratings should be more than just about food. Their service has gone down hill. This use to be one of my favorites. I don't know what happened. New management? new staff? Don't know but service is poor. I was a regular until my past 2 experiences there turned me off. first time around, I did not receive a refill on my ice tea. I had to ask twice. This is not ihops. For the price people are paying here, they deserve better. I thought this may have been a fluke incident and decided to give them another chance. Second time I came back, the same thing happened. No refills untill i asked. The waiter took my credit card and came back, with a rude gesture, to say "it's been declined". He did not stand around for me to give another card, but just left. The funny thing was the card was not declined, just the magnetic strip was worned. I had issues with it the entire week and was going to let him know the situation, but he darted away before I even had the chance to. I gave a different employee the same card, he used a plastic bag, ran it through and it worked. I own a business of my own. My customers get treated with the upmost respect. It makes me wonder sometimes how they can go about charging the prices they do, give people bad service, and expect to continue. Never going there again!
I am in agreement with other reviewers on several recurring issues including the service which can be slow, and the high prices for small portions of food prepared competently yet without real inspiration. The menu itself is also somewhat limited in choices, particulalry for dinner. Executive Chef Ryan Pera is the inspiration behind the kitchen of The Grove. One of the best times to visit the restaurant is during its famed Sunday Brunch. It is when the natural lighting is at its best and is perfect for a front seat to the weekend festivities downtown. The restaurant offers a variety of creative spirits that set the mood for an urban relaxed lunch. One of the only places in Houston to offer a Clear Spicy Bloody Mary, The Grove has recently added a Banana Margarita to its drink list, which includes herradura silver tequila and coconut crunch, accentuating a fruity kick to brunch. A word of advice –be sure to use the restaurant’s convenient and fast valet parking services when downtown is busy. Parking in and around the park can often be hard, if not impossible, to find, depending on the festivities going on at the time.
My friends talked it up. Saying, it was a wonderful spot and they couldn't beleive I hadn't been there (being a native Houstonian) so I decided to go. My take on it was that I was unimpressed by the drab uninviting exterior & interior, the smell of grease permeating the air, the leaning undersized tables that were cluttered with condiments, and the perfectly square dining room that held it's diners shoulder to shoulder. The place felt like it needed a good cleaning to me. Almost everyone in the place was overweight (including myself) which directly correlates to the type of food they serve. Remember when your grandmother use to fill the bottom of her cast iron skillet with oil to make eggs? Yeah...that's what ALL of the food is like. It tasted just fine though. The service was fine and the people were freindly (patrons and staff) but I won't be back. I give it 4 stars because the place was PACKED. We had to wait in line to be seated at 9am. During our meal it began to rain hard but people kept coming! It may not be my kind of place but apparently, it is for lots of others!
I tried Beck's Prime for the first time a couple of weeks ago, since my boyfriend had raved on and on about how he used to get their steak burger and milkshake everyday before work. First of all, their milkshake was uber good! It's a real milkshake and not the premixed junk that comes out of a softserve machine. My boyfriend said I must have really liked it since drinking it was probably the longest I'd been quiet all day. I also got their prime steak burger and fries, and to be really honest, I wasn't very impressed. Well, at least not for the money that I paid for the entire meal. The burger was about $8.50, and with the fries and shake, I think I paid about $15. That's pretty darn steep for fast food. The steak juices had soaked the entire bottom burger bun so badly that I had to throw out the bottom bun. It was completely soggy and tasted gross. I loved that the fries were real cut fries, but they were completely limp and soft. I prefer crispy fries. I really wanted to love this place as much as my boyfriend so maybe I'll give it one more try.

All American Auto Salvage has awesome customer service and reasonable prices. Victor is great, very fair, and helpful. I was looking for rear differential assembly for my Chevy Trailblazer. They originally sent over one for a heavier truck but took it back and I was able to go on the yard to find the one that did match my truck. It is best to go out to find the part yourself. Unfortunately a lot of glove boxes are missing and that is where you'll find the part match information that you need. Tony went out in heavy rain without complaint to help us look through the yard to distinguish what truck the one came off of that they delivered and to find the one that actually matched. My truck is back together and running like brand new! The part we got from them was great. I would gladly go back to them and refer anyone to them. Great service in any industry seems to be lacking so I am always glad to have a positive experience. Thanks guys! Keep up the great work! Janice & Robert
My husband and I went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch and the food tasted like cardboard and the waitress that we had was really non existiant. The tea that is infused with fruit is nasty and the other waiter that replaced my tea told me that no one likes it. If no one likes it then why sell it. The menu is a short novel, if you want something to read you can take the menu and have a good laugh. The food sounds so good and the prices suggest that you will get top quality food. However when the food comes it is not what the price and the description suggest it might look good but it taste nasty. I hope they get it together there location is great and the building looks really nice they really need to work on the food and that one waitress. The other waiters were more helpful than the one assigned to our table. The management took care of us now they need to take care of the menu, the cook and the waitress. Chef Ramsey would have a ball at this restaurant.
With such cute women, good ambiance and a great location, I have been coming to the Tasting Room for three years to endure the bad wine at expensive prices. So sad you can't deliver at least an average product. Just as soon as you finally negotiate the pitted mine field of tasteless concoctions, you finally obtain something you like only to find you don't carry it anymore. You're surely to die a slow death once the wine fad fades. The horrible slow service geared to inconvenience the wine lover is reason enough to stay away. Today I started to get a cheese plate, but at $18 for three small pieces of cheese and condiments, I sadly chose the fat infested sausage plate for $14. Today's experience was mediocre wine, heavy fat layered sausage and sour pickles with stale bread which took almost a half hour to recieve. You weren't even busy. Why would I ever endure this place again? I don't care how cute the women are it just isn't worth the misery.
first off i wanna say i love this place! i mostly been here for lunch which is great, foods fast and sum really great lunch options. i absolutly loved the southwest wrap and it came with thier famous shoestring mixture yum! but i do have to say my favorite time going there is sunday brunch. the place is always so lively and happening. and the waiter told me that on thier 2nd and 4th sundays they have live jazz band come play. though they dont have bottomless mimosas anymore(something to do with T.A.B.C. not allowing it at resturants anymore) but they did have $2mimosas and $4 mango mimosas(extra delicous!) also $2well vodka drinks too!!! i would suggest reservations if your going to bring a large party with you though, they fill up quite fast. the servious was also really good my mimosa was always full and he kept making sure i had everything i needed, overly a very great expiernce.
My wife and I and another couple went a few nights ago and we not too impressed. I was packed, but we were seated fairly quickly. Our waitress was not on top of things and ofetn disappeared. I don't think I was ever offered for a refill. The selction was kinda of cool, seeing how you could completely customize you burger, by adding almost anything. The fries and onion rings were very good! However, none of us were impressed by the burgers, their main attraction. My friend's and my burger both kinda fell apart. His wife ordered and milkshake that she could not even finish, since the flavor was too artificial. Lastly, when we were finished eating and waiting to pay, our waitress was nowhere to be forund. After a few minutes, I called over a manger, who ended up finding her outside. Outside talking to friends! Needless to day, we were not too impressed.
