I have never written a review for anyone or any business before, but after the mind blowing experience I had at Caron's Auto I just have to share my amazing story.After hunting for a decent used vehicle through countless agencies,dealerships, online owners, specials, promises etc. I came across an ad for Caron's. There I saw the vehicle I had been thinking about, I couldn't believe this car was priced right because I knew it was well below Kelly's Blue Book.I called and talked to Larry, the owner and the next day or so I showed up at East End Auto. The vehicle was sitting inside Larry's shop, all shiny, clean, and pretty much looked like a new car. I just want you to know that this was the best, easiest, most pleasurable car buying experience of my life. And I'm talking 40 yrs. or more and many, many vehicles.Larry was polite, casual, easy going and informative. There was no hidden fees or problems with the car. It was a great feeling to know I could actually trust this man with his word, no pushing or fast talking. It was just as he said it would be.Not to worry, Larry worked with me and helped me to get everything together. I was exuberant, excited, in disbelief that it was really mine!. They were great! I got into a fender bender and Chris (the owner) was great about everything from handling the insurance company to saving me some money. He had my car fixed in a week - and it was over a holiday weekend! He was quick with communication, quick with service, everything. He comes off a little harsh at first, but I loved his straightforward, no bullshit attitude. I would highly recommend them for any car maintenance.
AN UNETHICAL BUSINESS TO SAY THE LEAST. THIS PLACE TAKES ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND CARS. I took my car in for a dragging caliper, and after a brief inspection the mechanic claimed I needed three thousand dollars worth of work to have the car pass inspection in 6 months. And actually told me it was a danger to drive. I was shocked as I had just purchased the car and is great condition. I decided to take it to someone else for a SECOND OPINION, and the result was exactly my original diagnosis which was just a dragging caliper and rotor. Midas replaces parts YEARS before they need replacing. ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION when the work needed sounds higher than expected. DON'T LET YOURSELF GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF, AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Today was the first time I ever went to Midas. I was met by Larry Michael the service manager the moment I walked in the door. I explained what I needed and Larry had a mechanic check it out. I was given an estimate of the work that was way over my head but Larry worked with me, got me a Midas credit card and arranged things so that everything I needed to pass inspection was completed within my price range. They even took me shopping while I waited for my car to be done. Everyone I dealt with was just awesome. The South Burlington office has top notch employees. Today was my first visit but I have now found the place I will always go to for everything. Thanks to Larry and all of the South Burlington staff for a wonderful experience.
Service was fast wit much help and consideration for service writer and management. Quote before start and a year warranty on work preformed.
