This place is a budget or extended stay motel, so for the price is it very, very good. Although I've been staying here for a year (whenever im in town) recently they have made a series of refurbishments and improvements so there are some very nice rooms now (again for the price). This stay mine had a large flat screen tv with cable, new bedding and carpet, fresh paint and clean towels (replenished daily without fail). The staff will bend over backwards for you, ron the manager and Kevin and Sean? Fay the.night girl (I think) will find you a quiter room if other areas have louder guests. The breakfast is a buffet style and more snacks than a meal, but given the pool and hot tub area (clean, not very busy), ample parking, the service, location and especially the price, I haven't found a match yet.
We spent the weekend at the Anchorage Inn for my 40th birthday. We stayed in one of the suites. It was absolutely beautiful. When we walked into our room immediately we saw the beautiful gas fireplace. The bedroom area had a very comfortable king size bed with a flat screen TV. The living room area had a couch and another chair. It faced the fireplace where there was another flat screen TV mounted above it. To the right of the fireplace was the deck which overlooked the outdoor pool and Jacuzzi. The bathroom was another favorite of mine. It had a jacuzzi tub and stand up shower next to it but my favorite part of the bathroom was the heated floor. No need for cold feet when walking in the bathroom when the tile floor is heated.
I stayed in this hotel two years ago at summer. Now I came at winter. It is become a big difference. Hotel much better now – they have changed indoor design, new carpets, TVs, furniture. Their stuff still really sweet and helpful. What I like about Anchorage Inn it is free breakfast, parking space and location.Just across the street they have one of the biggest mall, bunch of restaurants, 15 min by car from airport, 5 min by car to university of Vermont and 10 min by car to downtown. This city have Champlain lake, there are the most beautiful sunset I`ve ever seen! Also it has pool, not big but its ok. I saw people with pets, so probably it is allowed there.Generally, I satisfied with my staying there!
We love your Main building and always request room 325. The roo has plenty of electrical outlets for cellphone chargers and other purposes. The beds are very comfortable. The only complaint we have on the room is the bathroom exhaust fan is very noisey and no way to shut it off by itself. We would lke to thank the staff and expecially Colin who every year is always there to help us no matter how many times we come per year. After loading our car this trip we decided to stay an extra night and Coln was right there to help again. Due to the huricane th staff had no problem in changing our arrival date to suit us. Once again, Thank you to your whole staff.
everything about the inn was adequate and convenient...the value was excellent...the location was an easy find off the highway and across the street from a mall...no elevator, but it was only 6 stairs up to the second floor...clean and comfortable....small bathroom, but certainly served the purpose....pleasant staff...breakfast was between continental and full, no seating area so had to carry the food back to the room, where there was a table and chairs...wifi connection was down that night ...would definitely stay again, because the positives by far outweighed the negatives.
A good value, super near the airport in Burlington. We stayed here three nights on a recent work/not work trip. The pool and hot tub looked nice but we didn't plan for that so couldn't take advantage. For a hotel less than 100 per night (we paid 60 something including tax), it was fine. It was clean, the room heater worked, the beds were comfortable and the staff were all super friendly. We had to catch a 6 am fight and we were offered breakfast at 4:30 as we were leaving. Glad we saved the money we did (more money for skiing!). I would stay here again.
I booked hotel several weeks in advance , so I got great deal, $60.00 night off Go Seek. Our room was clean , an newer carpet. Even though room was in front hotel ,downstairs it was quiet and SAFE!!! Mall across the street , Dankin next door. Cheap place to buy Vermont maple syrup. The staff suggested Shanteys on lake for a meal , Was great. Breakfast you take to you room , cereal , coffee , packaged donuts , fruit , milk , juice , an yogurt. Drive up to Smugglers notch if you have time in the mountains , beautiful!!!
I stayed on a very busy weekend the rooms are a nice size the front desk was very helpful actually met both managers at check in and both were delightful. They were willing to accommodate with the few problems that I encountered nothing big I needed a hair dryer extra pillows and towels rooms was clean. I have read previous reviews and yes the housekeepers were working when I checked in and the hall had dirty laundry but i at least knew my room was clean. You do get what you pay for ..... Great price for great service
Very friendly proprietors and staff. Excellent service. The beds had flannel sheets as well as regular linen. very, very comfy. The bathroom was suitable but the bathroom sink and mirror was outside the bathroom, not really a problem, just a bit odd. Also the the smoke alarm was missing and the wiring was exposed. The breakfast area was well stocked with plenty of fresh hot coffee, yogurts, cereals, fresh fruit and a variety of tea and coffee creamers. Great. I'll do it again.
I stayed at the Anchorage Inn during a long weekend in November 2016. We stayed on the third floor in a standard room and have no complaints. The room was updated and had everything we needed. Indoor pool was great and the resort looks like a great place to visit in the summer when the weather is warm. Location was great. Directly across from the beach and a 5 minute drive to all restaurants/shops in York. I would recommend this resort for all types of visitors and stays.
