Taxi Service in South Bend, IN

Extremely unprofessional taxi service. Cab driver had blatant disregard for neighborhood during a pickup. The United Cab van was parked on the sidewalk while my 10 month old baby and I were trying to pass. We were forced to walk in the street during heavy traffic. I called United Cab service and asked to speak with a supervisor to report the incident. The owner Christine Huffman answered the phone. She was very rude while I was trying to report the driver, commented about me being an unfit mother, and proceeded to hang up on me. When I tried calling back United Cab service would not answer. I will never use United Cab, and I will tell everyone I know not to use this horrible service too. I've never delt with such an unprofessional company. Two thumbs all the way down. Save yourself the trouble, and call South Bend Taxi, City Cab of South Bend, Blue Ribbon Taxi South Bend, V.I.P. Taxi, or UBER!

Terrible terrible terrible.I'm pregnant. I've been in town 2 days. I left chicago because my husband was hurting me and i ended up stranded after i couldn't find a Lyft after trying to get my SD card back from someone. I'd been outside the persons house for hours and i was freezing so bad I was shaking and this has been the worst 2 days of my lifeDispatch was rude and interrogated me for asking for a cab because it was late. About 1am. "Why did you go there?" etc. "Why cant you go here instead of calling a cab?" This was even After i told her I was pregnant, very cold, and sincerely very scared. She said it wasn't safe for her to send a driver because I wasn't in doors. Which I understand but it also wasn't safe for me and my unborn son. After I called the cab I called the police to help me get my stuff back. Police got there first and were amazing and I am thanking god in my heart for how good they were to me. But then the cab showed up (later than she said it would but it was also late notice so Im not sure if that counts against them) and I told her I was talking to cops and she said "I knew I sent the cab against my better judgment" and hung up in my face. The fantastic officers gave me a ride back to my motel and once again I am So grateful they were there. Thank you SB PD so much. Im crying happy tears of gratitude because they helped me on a truly terrible night.Dispatch you were a rude and awful person to a woman who is struggling terribly and I hope you see this and treat people better next time. Im safe and warm in my motel now thanks to the officers

This place is garbage. They charged us 20.00 to go 2 miles when Uber would have been 6.83. Crooks stay away USE UBER.

Driver couldn't find me despite him calling 3 times. Understood very little English. Finally arrived and told him I thought I saw him drive by, but wasn't sure. He proceeded to berate me, asking why if I saw him, I didn't call him, and was argumentative. As he was loading my luggage, I decided I'd had enough and told him to give me my stuff back and I would call someone else. He told me this was trash and I was an idiot. I then called main number to complain, then driver started harassment by texting me and calling me an idiot again and a liar (he spelled it Lier). REALLY? I'll be filing official complaint and harassment charges. Very unprofessional.

I have ridden with this company for a couple of weeks because my car took a dump on me. It is bittersweet that I have now found another vehicle as the people have been great!

First let me say that this is the first time in my life I have ever taken a taxi, so maybe all of this is normal. Ok disclaimer done. I had to take a taxi because my car broke down and I was out of my home state for my daughter's competition. The driver was right on time, he was very personalble, and friendly(hence the four starts), the dispatcher I talked to on the phone was also very helpful, and friendly. The car was a yellow Prius taxi, so easily identifiable. The car however, was not that great, dents in the outside, and ridiculously dirty on the inside, not trash or clutter, but just grimy looking door handles, upolstery, and carpet. I realize that they are used by many people every day, but yuck! The only other thing was, the driver didn't seem to know where he was going. He didn't even attemp to use his phone for GPS until he was stuck in construction, which I never even saw until then, and I had been from my hotel to the venue twice already.

Had a scheduled pickup for 4:30 am to the airport. The taxi never showed. The dispach phone number despite being 24 hours on their website didn't answer until 5am. By this time I already called another cab that had picked me up. When I spoke to that person to let them know I would no longer need their services and I was upset that the phones weren't answered for 30 minutes the person was irate because I was upset. I think I had a right to be upset you don't mess with getting to the airport.

Friendly supportive driver...economical for situation. Allows for immediate transportation of me in my wheelchair.

The only reason why I'm giving 1 star is the driver I have now was mad because I was 7 minutes late getting outside from work. His attitude shouldn't be so rude
