We are a Path's To Quality Level 3, state licensed child care serving childrern six weeks to six years of age in the downtown South Bend area.Staff are trained in the High Scope Approach to learning. Lesson plans and daily activites are designed to support children's learning at a level that challenges them to develop new skills and practice emerging skills with appropiate support from adults.Parents are encouraged to participate as much as their work and school hours will allow.The Children's Center participates in the Child and Adult Food Care Program that provides all snacks and meals throughout the day and formulas and baby foods as they are introduced into the child's diet. We accept KV Works vouchers from the Child Care and Development Block Grant funds for qualifying families who need financial support to cover the cost of child care.We are housed inside the First Presbyterian Church of South Bend. The church is handicap accessable. The Children's Center has a commerical kitchen where food is prepared each day.Children have access to a fenced in playground located on the West end of the propery.Parents may drop in for a tour or make an appointment with the Director.

The Children's Center is inside the First Presbyterian Church. The church property includes the 300 Block of Colfax, Williams Street Laffayett and LaSalle Streets. Enterance to the building is obtained through the Education Wing located off of the Williams Street enterance. Please use the monitoring system to request enterance into the building.

Amenities

Handicap Accessable building.Two snacks and two meals are prepared and served on site.The Children's Center works closley with familes that receive services from First Steps and local School Districts.
