I have never had to write a bad review before. Most places are professional and have class. They quoted me a price to sell my car so I proceeded to cancel everything on the day of pickup, needed to be there between 9-5. The day of pickup I got a call about 9:30 am telling me they didn't have in their budget to buy my car. What?? By accident someone at corporate told me that was unheard of. They ditched me all day. So I finally called South Bend back but the manager was too busy to talk to me. Just want some answers. They quoted me so I think they should honor it.
Back in March I trusted this company to do front end work on my 2011 Chevy Malibu. They charged me around $400 give or take. 2 months later I had to have my transmission rebuilt (do not suspect it to be due to this company). When I picked my vehicle up from Certified Transmission in Mishawaka they informed me there was a lot of noise coming from the front passenger side wheel bearing and I told them that I had it worked on just a few months ago. I was told to take my vehicle back to where my vehicle was worked on and they should fix it. I knew the vehicle had front end noise from the time I left the shop but never went back. I took my car back and asked them to look at the work I had paid them to do in March. They took all my tires off, all my breaks off, and then told me it would be over $700 to get my breaks done. I told them there was no way I would be paying that. I then told them my girlfriend could get discounted parts and I would look into it. While all of this was going on he was looking at my transmission (which no one will look at except Certified) was "grinding" on my car doing who knows what. I then called and informed them I would not even be paying the $350+ that they wanted for labor to put my breaks on and had a tow truck coming. They then told me that it would cost me $104 to get my car back and they were releasing it until it was paid. I called South Bend PD and they came out yesterday.While south bend PD was in route they closed the shop doors and did who knows what to my vehicle.. The owner, Whitney ended up getting the mechanic Tim and he came into the office. Tim threw all of my brake parts at me that he had in a bag. Stated he didn't mean to, but I think other wise. He was rude and not she was rude. South Bend PD was asking how much it would cost and the numbers kept changing. I was confused the entire time.Be advised I was told by the mechanic, once the car is in my shop, you authorIze us to do the work.No. That's not how it works.
I have a VIP at Drive and Shine and they have always been helpful and respectful. They've always got me in and out and off to work ..would definitely recommend them to all my friends and family and co-workers.
I didnt want to do this, but under the circumstances I have no choice. I have been dealing with Around The Corner Auto for sometime now. Chris David was a very good friend of mine. So I figured I could trust him. For the last few months, I have been having problems with my truck 2008 F150 with the 5.4. It is doing what shops like to call Dieseling, Its where the motor shakes at low RPMS. Not one of Fords best motors or designs. Around The Corner diagnosed the problem as a timing problem. And $4000.00 later the truck is still not fixed. Then they diagnosed is as a oil pressure problem. So another $500 out of my pocket and the truck is still not running right. I am a firm believer of giving my business to the small hometown businesses and have even helped promote the business. But, after spending $4500 on the work and being way over charged for the work. Enough is enough!! There is a warranty on the work, but they still cant get it right after all this time. Now I have to spend more money to take it to the dealer to have it done right. I work hard for my money just like everyone else. I cant afford to be spending this type of money and truck still not right. We learn from our mistakes and I learned a very big one! Chose your friends wisely and dont think everyone you know is a friend.
Was very disappointed with the lack of equipment and the HI Cost of repairs. The customer service sucked the service writer was very short with me and seem to have better things to do than talk with me about my car.
Had a detail and additional wheel clean. Better than I've had at any dealership. Seemed to take great pride in their work. Would definitely recommend.
My car broke down on the road and I didn't know what to do. They really helped me out! Not only did they fix my car reasonably, but they even arranged the tow. I thought I was going to be stranded at the shop and miss work, but they even helped me with that! They offered me a ride to and from work! I'm so thankful they moved into the neighborhood. I don't know what i would have done without them. And found out they also do U-Haul too! That may come in handy some day! Thanks Around the Corner! You have a faithful customer here!
