Loud fireworks going off all through the night and morning, no hand soap in the restrooms, other guests sexually assaulting the women in our group when we were at the bar, bus driver almost got into an accident, aggressive and very physical bouncers, the owner assaulted me for filming an argument on my iPhone, one bouncer took my phone and threw it to the ground, death threats made towards our group, camp sites are very small and you'll have your camper/ tents right next to others, some thieves attempted to walk off with two of our coolers at 4am, people vandalizing other vehicles, and very unreasonable costs for everything they sell/provide. This was our first year attending in which we were celebrating our bachelor/bachelorette party. We will not give this place our time or money ever again!
We decided to wrap a college move in with a relaxing float on the Apple River. What a GREAT day - thanks to Float-Rite. It was quick and easy to get on the river to relax our sore muscles.
So much fun! Highly recommended!
We have a crew that hits the Apple River every year. Over the years we've tried every campground and Float-Rite is THE best. The Staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. The cinch is being able to float right to your campsite. There is no waiting for a bus when you are soaking wet and just want to settle in and camp and relax. Why can't I give them SIX (or more) Stars?????
Despite what others have said, I had a great time when I stayed at Float Rite!!! It was so much fun meeting the people next to us, the bathrooms were clean, the employees were nice. People don't seem to remember that they are camping and not at a five star hotel, this place is awesome! I would definitely recommend staying here, I know I will!
There are 2 types of people in this world. People who give Float Rite park 5 stars and people who give it 1 star. I'm proud to say that I'm a 5 star giving, beer drinking, meat eating, whiskey shooting, God fearing, river floating American. If you have any doubts that a weekend of total alcohol fueled debauchery is for you stay at home, if not I'll see you on the Apple.
The owner of the park decided I was too drunk and kicked me out of the campsite that I paid for. When I tried to get my stuff and leave, they called the police and brought me to jail. The owner of the campground is a disgusting, shameless man who also hit on my female friend. Don't go here unless you want trouble.
