One of the worst experiences I've ever had getting prescriptions. My prescription was sent to Walmart by my Doctor around 10 am last Wednesday. It was a drug I needed asap to kill shingles virus in my eye. It was imperative I get it to prevent blindness. We drove to Walmart to pick it up at around 11. When we got there they said it would be ready in 30 minutes. My wife waited 30 minutes and then went to the desk and I man at the desk told her he was sorry but they would have to order it and it would be there on Thursday. We left Walmart and tried several other pharmacies and could not find it and headed home. On Thursday my wife goes to Walmart to pick it up and the lady told her it would not be there until Friday because it was coming from the warehouse and whoever told her it would be there on Thursday was wrong. We wait until Friday call about picking it up and was told It was not in the order on Friday and we would have to wait until Monday to get it. I went crazy and gave the lady a small piece of my mind but very nicely. She then volunteered to try and find it for me somewhere else. About 15 minutes later she called me back and told me she had found it in Somerset at the only drug store we had not called. She said she would fax the prescription to them and we could pick it up immediately. I thanked her hung up the phone and we headed to Somerset to get the prescription. Arrived at the drugstore and no one in the store had received a fax from Walmart they proceeded to call Walmart and get the prescription and then we had about a 15 minute wait. The poor managed pharmacy i've ever dealt with.
I think this is the nicest Wal-Mart I have ever been in. It was so organized, clean, and bright. I also like that most of the shelves are shorter than other Wal-Marts. It makes it sooo much easier for someone my size to reach things and not have to ask employees to get things down for me (it's not easy being 5 ft tall and 25 yrs old). I am sure it makes it easier on people in wheel chairs too.
