Stopped going to this place after, 15 years of patrionage. Enjoyed our waiter Annie but it was uncomfortable to see an other waitres making smart remaks in from of customer all because Annie has a lot requests from loyal customers like ourselves.

It was unprofessional and at times disturbing to see them fighting like hyenas for customers.

The veggies are always over cooked. The food is ok, not bad, but not great either. Service is ok. A good place to go if you are hungry as they give you too much food. Should give you less food and charge less.

My aunts and I went to the Starview Diner for a little girls night out since I was in town for a visit. After having our appetizers, a couple of drinks, catching up on old times and laughing, a customer came over to our table and told us to shut our big fat mouths! We were stunned especially since we only laughed out loud one time! The manager came over and we told him what happened and said that we didn't appreciate the customer talking to us that way. When the customer came out the rest room and passed our table, he made another comment but this time my aunts told him if he had a problem, he should talk to the manager instead of us. He began yelling at us! We decided to ignore the customer and continue with our conversation. Next thing we know, the police come walking up to our table and said the manager wants us to pay and leave! We could not believe it!!!! We didn't do anything wrong but laugh out loud ONE time! Mind you we were sitting in the bar area where bars usually get loud. Why is it that this customer can come over to our table not once but twice and yell at us and say really nasty things to us but we are the ones that get escorted out??? And they made us pay for drinks that we just got served and did not get a chance to drink!!! The manager got really nasty with us after the cops came!!!! I am not one to pull the racism card but I have NEVER felt so disrespected and treated so unfairly in my life! I was completely speechless! All because we laughed out loud.....ONE TIME!

Don't bother going. The first time I went, I wasn't impressed with my meal. I decided to try it again last night with my 10-year son, after having a tough day at work. The medium-well prime rib I ordered was bloody and the waiter insulted my son because he didn't want cheese on his nacho dish. He said I had a "weird kid." I didn't realize I was paying for his opinion. My meal came with a dessert but instead of asking me what I wanted, he came with two pieces of cake and asked which one of those my son would take and gave me the other, adding they were on the house. Oh really? My meal included it. We took the cake home and after tasting it I realized why it was on the house - stale. I guess they were trying to get rid of it. There are other diners with much better food. And no, I didn't complain because I wasn't in the mood for confrontation since I was seeking a quiet evening with my son. Not going there again.

Average Jersey Diner

This is an average Jersey diner. They are not bad, but not great either. Food is average and service is slow, but the prices are reasonable. They are open 24-hours, which is a plus.
