General Info
Soldotna Dental Arts practices general and cosmetic dentistry, specializing in porcelain veneers, dental implants, crowns and bridges. Located in Soldotna, Alaska, the clinic's state-of-the-art equipment includes digital imaging technologies, laser dentistry and intraoral camera. Digital imaging for dental radiography aids in diagnosing, treating and maintaining dental health. Laser technology benefits cavity diagnosis, whitening teeth, periodontal care, pediatric procedures, ulcer treatment, frenectomy without anesthesia, root canals, crown lengthening and other gum corrections. For cosmetic surgery, Soldotna Dental Arts offers porcelain veneers that bond directly to the front surface of the teeth, thus improving the patient's smile.
Traditional braces are effective for correcting even the most complex bite and alignment issues. Your teeth are pulled into position by attaching brackets and wires to them. Although it is effective, it may not always be the right solution for adults who want to maintain a professional image during their treatment.

At Soldotna Dental Arts, our team is committed to providing patients from all over the greater Kenai Peninsula with dedicated, comprehensive dentistry that addresses the whole family’s needs, from essential preventive care to advanced dental implant solutions for lost teeth. Below, you’ll find all of the information you need for planning a first visit, including our physical address, our available dental office hours, and how to get in contact with us.
While dental crowns can be paired with multiple implants throughout the mouth, a dental bridge may be better suited to cases where the patient has lost several natural teeth in a row. You will only need two dental implants for this type of restoration, with each one being placed on opposite sides of the gap in question. The bridge itself is then anchored in place over them for a sturdy, functional fit.
Restorative Dentistry
While Dr. Christensen and the rest of our team will always strive to help patients avoid the need for restorative dentistry, we do have these services available when people come to us with pained or hurting smiles. Whether the situation is as minor as a small cavity or as serious as extensive tooth loss, we have the skills and advanced technology needed to bring back confident, strong teeth that can be wholeheartedly relied on. Contact Soldotna Dental Arts today if you have any questions, or if you’re ready to schedule an appointment.
In addition to all of these benefits, the typical dental insurance policy also covers the complete cost of two checkups and cleanings every 12 months. Even though we would all prefer to believe that oral health problems like cavities and toothaches sort themselves out on their own, that’s rarely the case. Next time you’re about to brush off a dental visit, remember that a simple cavity filling is much cheaper and easier than root canal therapy. When your appointment is over and you leave our office, you’ll feel great having fresh breath and a clean bill of health.
Your denture will look and feel completely natural; onlookers may have no idea that your teeth aren’t the same ones you’ve had since your youth.
Overdentures
There are essentially two types of implant-retained dentures. One type is permanently attached to the implants; it can only be removed by a professional. The other type is known as an overdenture. It has small attachments on the bottom that allow it to easily snap onto the implants. In some cases, a traditional denture can be retrofitted to work as an overdenture.
And feel great about how their teeth look. If you’ve been considering teeth whitening in Soldotna, contact us today to schedule a consultation. With multiple different options, we’ll help you choose one that’s perfect for your smile!
Cosmetic Dentistry
If you are struggling to achieve whiter teeth, have misshaped or uneven teeth that hold you back, or duck for cover each time someone suggests taking a picture, then it’s time to consider a smile makeover! After all, a recent survey found that a whopping 37% of people say the first feature they notice when meeting someone is their smile. With this in mind, what message is your current smile sending? If you are less than enthused about your answer, cosmetic dentistry is here to help!
General Dentistry
While many general dentistry practices throughout the Kenai Peninsula have to refer their patients to separate specialists for the surgical component of dental implant treatment, Dr. Christensen has the necessary advanced training and expertise to perform this type of care right here in-office. This means that every stage of your smile transformation will be personally handled by a team you already know and trust — no time-consuming trips or “surprise” extra costs required.
Scaling and root planing can essentially be thought of as a dental cleaning that’s been elevated to the next level. Our team will carry out this process in two distinct parts — first, bacterial buildup will be eliminated from above and underneath the gum line. Then, the tooth root surfaces will be carefully and thoroughly smoothed to eliminate rough surfaces, which are prime targets for plaque and tartar. Our goal is to revitalize the patient’s oral health and reduce their risk of further inflammation.
Fluoride Treatment
They’re so effective at preventing cavities that many dental insurance companies cover them at 100% until age 19 (some do for all ages). They know that fluoride treatments lead to less dental work down the road!
Dental Sealants
As parents, you want your child’s smile to look and feel healthy and beautiful, right? The thought of tooth decay and cavities causes you to cringe, not only for the additional time and money it costs to fix these problems but more so for the damage they can cause to your little one’s smile. To protect against these kinds of dental problems, a dentist at Soldotna Dental Arts is pleased to offer a safe and effective solution – dental sealants ! With this method of preventive care, we can better protect your child’s developing smile. Contact our office today to set up an appointment for your child!
We’ll examine your teeth and gums, looking for any signs or symptoms of cavities, gum disease, or infections. To complete the dental checkup portion of your visit, we will conduct a quick oral cancer screening in search of any abnormal lumps or sores.
Dental Examination
During the initial appointment, our team’s first priority is to learn everything we can about our new patient. What are you looking for from our office? What are your personal concerns and goals when it comes to potential dental work? Once we understand the answers to these questions better, we can perform a dedicated comprehensive exam and start working on the ideal treatment plan for your unique circumstances. We don’t want to just rush you in and out the door – we hope to form a strong and trusting relationship that will hopefully last throughout many more visits to come.
