X-rays
Every one of our patients is often a good candidate for dental x-rays. These images need only a small amount of radiation to properly develop. Teeth Cleaning
Our hygienist professionally cleans your teeth with special dental instruments. Tartar, which is a hard and chalky buildup that occurs on the teeth, will be removed. The hygienist will then floss and carefully polish your teeth. After the hygienist finishes, Dr. Urich comes in and performs an examination. He looks at your teeth for decay (cavities), oral cancer and any problems with restorations you currently have in your mouth. These appointments typically take less than an hour. Fluoride Treatment

Root Canal Treatment

Oral Surgery
You may be wondering why you should bother having your wisdom teeth removed. You might not be experiencing any pain currently and don’t think it’s worth the trouble to go for oral surgery. Here are just some of the problems that can arise from your wisdom teeth...
Gum Surgery
To determine if you have gum disease, we simply check your gums and measure the small pockets around each of your teeth. Generally speaking, if these pockets are deeper than about 3mm, this could signal gum disease or other periodontal problems. If it’s found that you have gum disease, we will recommend that you have a scaling and root planing as soon as possible. This can prevent the disease from getting worse, having to go through gum surgery, and causing further issues to your dental health.
Tooth Extractions
We can take x-rays of your teeth to determine if you might need wisdom tooth extraction surgery. If you have impacted wisdom teeth, we often recommend coming in for this procedure as soon as possible. The longer that you wait to remove the wisdom teeth, the larger the teeth become. This makes them more difficult to remove and more likely to cause other oral problems.
Bone Grafting
Dental implants can successfully fuse to the underlying bone once they’re placed. In order for this to happen, there needs to be enough healthy bone structure in the area the implants will be placed. If there isn’t enough bone structure, we may suggest a bone grafting before implant surgery. You should be healthy enough to undergo oral surgery while having the ability to heal properly once it’s complete.
